A week later
"Hey how did it go?" I asked Caleb as he walked into the kitchen.
"Eh, it was fine I guess,"he said grabbing a water bottle from the refrigerator.
Caleb's new friend Matt that he met at summer camp invited him to his birthday party, that's where he has just come from.
"Just fine?"
"Yeah it wasn't a big thing just some kids he invited and then some relatives thay came towards the end. That's when I decided to leave. We were just playing video games anyway. Like I said it wasn't a big thing."
"Ok well... Are you hungry?" I asked.
"Nah I ate over there," he said going up the stairs. Either to his room or to the attic.
I sat down at the table and looked at the papers in my hands. These papers have been on my mind for a while now.
They were all the bills that needed to be paid. And I didn't have any money to pay them.
I already had a job, but it still wasn't enough. It was only enough for some bills.
Now the mortgage is due again along with a truck load of other payments and I'm drowning in bills to pay.
I could always get another job. But how many jobs could I get before I work myself to death.
This is why kids need to finish school. How else are they going to survive adulthood?
My mind kept going back to the one person I never wanted to see again.
The one person who made my childhood a living hell.
But the only one that could help me get out of this mess of bills I have.
The Devil incarnate... Mr. Madison.

The next day
I got into my car and drove.
I must have been driving for about and hour and a half before finally putting the address into my phone's GPS.
The drive to his house was about an hour.
I had a lot of time to think of how this could go down. Things could go south really quick.
I'm going to give you a little insight on Mr. Madison and why I think he is the Devil incarnate.
When I was in the first grade I entered Polk County School.
I wasn't exactly what you would call popular. Really the only friend I had was Alana. That's where I met her. In the first grade. But everything else about my first few years at that school were not that enjoyable, but that's life and I had to suck it up, right?
