We spent all two days building the center pieces and filling the goody bags and basically getting everything ready. The decorations and stuff was set up by the people at the venue, and once the candy and centerpieces got there it would be set up for us. So basically all we had to do was get there on time. Although I mean Madison rented it out for the day but still people don't like to be kept waiting.
"Tenemos seis horas para prepararnos! Asi que vamos" I yelled above all the screaming, giggling girls in the room.
(We have six hours to get ready so let's go!)
They all immediately started scrabbling to get their hair and makeup done. Yes I called hair and makeup people, and flew them here from the States.
After four hours there was nothing but a huge cloud of smoke and piles of hair balls everywhere, not to mention the smell of burnt hair. But that's the price you pay for these things.
Once one girl finished she rushed off to get her dress on then they were to sit and wait in the car until everyone was ready.
The men were already at the venue and were just waiting for all the girls and the birthday girl to arrive.
The hour was quickly approaching and three more girls needed their hair and makeup done. There were two hairstylists and two makeup artists. I didn't expect there to be so many girls so I figured two of each would be enough. I was obviously wrong.
Two hours! Two hours late and their still getting their dresses on.
I had my hair makeup and clothes on and these girls are still getting ready! I am beyond frustrated because I'm a control freak and when things don't go as planned I freak out.
Finally the girls are all filing into the limousine, just before I got in Slim stopped me, he was the one driving the limo, "Don't worry we cracked open the liquor at the venue no one is complaining they're all talking and laughing it's fine," he was trying to get me to relax it wasn't working but I smiled at him anyway.
I hopped in and we drove as quickly as possible to the venue. Forty-five freaking minutes later we arrive.
Everyone gets out of the limo and runs inside except for Stephanie who was going to take a few pictures before going in.
A million pictures later she's arm in arm with her twin brother, Eduardo, and I take a second to look at everyone. Granted we got here late but everyone looked absolutely amazing especially Stephanie. I couldn't help but smile.
The girls were wearing white dresses with rose gold shoes and their hair done into a simple low bun.
