Pride was so much fun. It was the best day of my life. We were on our way home when I got a text from my mom.

Momma: hey ry, works got me in late, I'll be home tomorrow after work @ 5

I sigh to myself. My mom's barley ever around. She always stays at hotels because 'works got her in late'. Even though I don't believe it anymore since its been happening since I was 6 and she's had 3 different jobs and yet they still keep her in late. I shut off my phone and the smile on my face quickly went away and I leaned my head back and sighed. "Hey, you ok?" Shane says one hand on the wheel and the other in mine. "Yeah, my mom's just "working late" Again. She's rarely home." "Oh. I know how that feels. I'm really sorry ryland." "It's fine." "Hey you know what the good part is?" "What?" "You can sleepover at my place again then climb through the window before she comes home" "You'd let me sleepover again?" "Uh.. Duh ofc! What kind of question even is that?" We both laugh as we pull up to our street and into Shane's drive way. "Ow my feet hurt from all the walking" I mumble to myself. Shane squats down in front of me and I get confused "what are you doing?" "Well if your feet hurt get on" I jump on his back and he piggy back me up to the door. "We look like a t-rex" He laughs and sways back and forth resembleing a dinosaur. "Youre such an idiot" I whisper and kiss his cheek. "Oh look! It's my two favorite boys!!" Shane's mom says opening the door. "Mom this is ryland" "Shane we've met you know?" I say laughing. "My boyfriend...." I laugh and role my eyes. "Well it's about time. Shane's been talking non stop" "Mommm" Shane groans in embarrassment. "Well that's enough of that, well be on my room" He says carrying me up the stairs. We plump down on his bed. The time is now 12:48 and it's clear that Shane is tired as am I. I role over on the other side and just as I do I feel an arm reach over me followed by a "goodnight boyfriend." And a kiss on the head. "Night Shane" I say turning my head to kiss him on the lips. His cheeks turn a rosy red as I giggle and turn back around. Could things get any better?
