TAYLOR (CHAPTER 18)
"You are such a loser, you know that right?" I flip the bird directly at Lila, making her scowl at me.
"Taylor, you're twenty-one years old, a freaking hot ass chick, and you're staying home on a Friday night?" It's been one week since that stupid date with Carter, yet again, as I look back at it, I have no clue as to why I even agreed to go out with him. Sure, he was a bit meh I guess, and the bubble tea was delicious as always, but still. I regret it.
"You need to get out of here and have fun!" I roll my eyes and continue to scoop out some Nutella onto my spoon and into my mouth.
"Mhm," I moan. "Yummy." I hear Lila scoff behind me, which I ignore.
"That is so sad," she tells me.
"What is?" I say with a mouth full of Nutella, confused as to what she's talking about.
"You," she points at me. "And the jar of diabetes you're holding," she points at the Nutella, which I gasp in shock.
"Don't say this in front of it." I hold the Nutella close to my chest. "It might hear you," I whisper, caressing it.
"Taylor, I swear to god if you don't get up this instant and actually go do something fun for once in your lifetime, I'm gonna take your Nutella stash and burn it." My jaw drops as I stare right at Lila.
"Burn it?" I whisper.
"Burn. It," she repeats the words slowly to me.
"So you're not joking?" I hear my voice crack, feeling sad all of a sudden for my babies.
"Nope," she shakes her head, crossing her arms.
"I feel light-headed," I tell Lila. "I think I'm about to faint all of a sudden," I wave myself off, taking deep breathes in and out, trying not to have a panic control because of Lila.
"I'm trying to help you, Taylor." I scoff at her words, licking the spoon to get the access Nutella off.
"You wanna help me?" I ask, which she nods. "Great!" I happily say. "Go get me some Oreos. I'm trying to create a masterpiece over here."
"You're going to get fat!" she shouts, which I shrug. "And have diabetes. Do you want to die at an early age, Taylor?"
"Shut up. It's not that bad," I drift off. "Plus, this is literally my child Lila. Don't you dare create a bonfire and burn it." She scrunches her face in disgust, walks over to me and grabs the spoon out of my hands before I put it in my mouth.
"Wait, where are you going with that?" I question, getting off of the couch and following her.
"The sink so I can wash the damn thing," she tells me, throwing it in without my approval.
"Hey! I wasn't done with that!" I shout.
"I'm pretty sure you were." I frown, seeing as she soon walks out of the kitchen and comes back, holding my Nutella. By the look on my face she quickly adds, "Calm down, I'm just closing it."
"I knew that," I mutter.
"Mhm," she hums, opening the cupboard to put the Nutella back where it is meant to be. With all of my other Nutella babies of course. "Now, in about, twenty minutes." She checks her time. "Mia is going to pick you up and get you out of this apartment!"
I snort. "Why?"
"Because you've stayed in this apartment like a pig, for a week." My mouth drops.
"Rude much?" She shrugs with a grin. "Where is she taking me?"
"To a party!" Lila yells with enthusiasm, jumping up and down as she takes my hands.
