Austin's POV
Bringing Alan home last week was great. I was glad that I didn't have to go to a hospital to see him, sure he still had his visits weekly for medicines and checks up, but that was only once a week. I loved having him back home even if I didn't get to see him very long. I had gone back to working full time again and he'd been catching up on a lot of internship stuff and school that he's missed and he missed a lot. That also meant I had to start seeing more of CJ again. He was the only friend of Alan's who was doing the same courses, so it kind of sucked, but Alan needed to get back on track so he could graduate this coming spring.
It just didn't help that I hated that man more than anything.
I opened up the door and heard multiple voices inside. I walked inside the house and peaked into the living room seeing Alan with CJ along with a couple other people that I'd never met before. I let out a quiet sigh and rolled my eyes.
"Austin!" Alan said with a big smile.
"Hey baby."
He waved me over to him and I went over. He pulled me down next to him and gave me a kiss.
"How's your study group?" I asked.
"It's good. How was work?"
"Good, kinda slow."
"No cool appointments today?"
"Nothing really. I should let you get back to studying with your friends."
"Stay for a bit," he whined.
"You guys should be studying."
"We were taking a break for a little bit. Stay and talk with us," He said with a pout.
I smiled and sat next to him, making sure I didn't jostle him too much.
"You know CJ,this is Leah, Rob and Cassandra," He said pointing to the two brunette girls and the bald guy.
I smiled at them. "Nice to meet you guys."
"So you're the guy Alan talks about every ten seconds," Leah said laughing a little.
I grinned at my fiance who blushed. "Yeah, that's me."
"I don't talk about you that often," He mumbled taking my hand in his.
"Sure you don't," Cassandra said.
He rolled his eyes at his friends, "It's hard not to talk about him sometimes, he's like my whole life."
"Cute," I snorted.
"Cute," He mocked.
I gave him a kiss. "I love you."
"I love you, too," He said blushing at me.
"Now study."
"Okay, okay."
I gave him one more kiss before I got up and left the room so he could study like he was supposed to be. It was cute how often he talked about me to people.
I just went upstairs to our bedroom and grabbed my sketchbook then went to our make shift office. I had a client coming in the next couple weeks that needed a huge tattoo done on her back. And I still wasn't completely sure how I was going to make it look.
I don't know how long I was upstairs working in the office until I felt a pair of arms come around my shoulders.
"Hey," Alan said quietly.
"Hey Ash," I said, turning to smile at him.
He smiled back before he gave me a soft kiss, "Whatcha doing?"
