Alan's POV

I've been in the hospital for a few days now and I just wanted to go home. I was beyond ready, but Vic didn't think it was time yet. They wanted to observe me and make sure my body wasn't rejecting my kidney.  That was everyone's biggest worry that it wouldn't work out.  Sure I was terrified that it wasn't going to work, but I had a feeling that I was going to be fine.  It felt like they were all worrying over nothing.

It sucked even more since I was here alone most of the time. Austin had to get back to work and Vic couldn't just sit in here all the day. Kellin would come hang out, but he's been acting out of it lately and I was thinking he was off his meds. I wasn't really sure though. He'd always avoid the topic whenever I mentioned it, but I think I knew the answer.

I sat up in my bed slowly as my nurse came in to give me my daily pills.

"Here you go, Mr. Ashby," she said with a smile.

I smiled, "Thanks," I said taking the small little cup from her and downing them.

"How are you feeling today?"

"Very sore and it kind of hurts when I lay back, but much better than the past couple days."

"That's good, then," she said. "Dr. Fuentes should be in sometime today to talk to you about your discharge and how you're feeling soon."

I nodded, "Can't wait. You think he'll let me go home yet?"

"You never know with Dr. Fuentes, he's had his head in the clouds lately."

"Trust me, I know," I said laughing a little.

"You'll just have to butter him up a little and see if he'll let you."

"I'll have to try, for sure."

Her and I talked a little more before she had to get back to doing her job. And I was stuck alone and bored all over again.

I let out a sigh and grabbed my phone. I opened it up seeing that I had a couple texts. I expected to see some texts from Austin, but I was dead wrong. It was the number Chad had been using and it was some pictures from what he did. I swallowed hard and looked up when I heard a knock on my door.

"Long time no see Ashby," Chad said walking in with a smirk on his face.

"You need to get out of here, now," I said my voice getting shaky as he walked closer. I grabbed the nurses button. "Leave, right now."

"I'm not doing anything, I just came to wish you well. Did you like the pictures I sent? I thought you wouldn't want to forget our lovely night."

"Get out."

Just before I pressed the nurses button Austin came in with a smile that quickly turned into a look of anger.

"What the fuck are you doing in here?" he demanded.

"Just visiting a friend," Chad said walking closer to me. I flinched away from him as he touched my face. Austin grabbed him by the back of the shirt and pushed him against the wall.

"Get the fuck out of here! Now!" Austin shouted.  He shoved Chad out of the room and looked at me. "Did he touch you?"

I shook my head, "N-no."

"Good, I'm telling Vic."

"Austin, st-stop I'm okay. He-He didn't do anything."

"I know but I'm ready for that fucker to be dead."

"Don't push i-it," I said as he sat down. I handed Austin my phone, "Look."

"I'm blocking his number."
