Coming to Take Us Away

The six of you continued onward for your journey towards Mistral. After countless days and nights of sleeping under the stars, training with Jaune and Ruby, fighting Grimm, you all were tired beyond comprehension. The six of you were walking down the pathway to an upcoming town which wasn't for another couple of hours.

Nora: So, how close are we to the next town?

(Y/N): Not for a couple of hours.

Nora: Soo...I spy anyone?

Ren: Nora, please no.

Flynn: Agreed. Let's just focus on getting to this town. Sooner or later, we're gonna have to run another mission to get some food and supplies. We're running low, and fast.

Ruby: So...anyone else thinking this trip is going a little too long?

(Y/N): Uh, Ruby, how long did you think this trip was going to last?

Ruby: I...I...

Flynn: Ruby?

Ruby: I don't know! I grew up in a small area.

(Y/N): It took us three days of nonstop walking just to pass over ONE mountain! It's been 7 MONTHS since we left Patch!

Ruby: Well, I'm sorry! You didn't have to come if you didn't want to!

Everyone just stoped as you looked down in shock at Ruby's comment. You turn to your brother and nod. He nods back and begins leading everyone else away from the two of you.

(Y/N): I'm sorry for trying to be supportive!

Ruby: Well, I'm sorry for dragging you into something like this! It's not my fault you came along! I get it, you think I need protection because of Cinder-

(Y/N): That's not the reason! Ruby, I love you! I came out here to support you! I came here so I didn't make the same mistake twice! Because I hate seeing you hurt!

Ruby: OH, yeah? And what mistake is that?!

(Y/N): Leaving you! I left you once! I'm not doing it again!

Ruby: Tell that to my team!

(Y/N): Tell that to mine as well, but you don't see me complaining!

Ruby: Because neither of us are complaining!

(Y/N): And yet you are!

Ruby: Because you are being this-this...jerk!

(Y/N): Oh! I'm being the jerk?!

Ruby: Yeah! You are!

(Y/N): Well-

You both heard rustling nearby and stopped your argument to look out across the forest. You draw your weapon along with Ruby as you both continue to survey your surroundings.

(Y/N): Ruby, run!

Ruby: What?! I'm not going to-

(Y/N): Ruby RUN!

Suddenly, a quick slash came across you and sent you flying back into the woods. The man turned to Ruby and began to attack her with these scorpion claw like wrist blades. He brought his fist down towards Ruby and was able to cut her. Ruby stumbled back a bit before being roundhouse kicked in the chin, also sending her flying through the air.

The man ran up to where Ruby was able to land and readied to kick her again. However, just before he did, you leapt in between Ruby and the man and caught her, preventing the attack. As the man comes in for another strike, you partially unsheathe your sword and block his attack. However, you both slide back just a bit with the man keeping up the attack.
