Ruby Rose X Male Reader: Let's Go, Old Friend

Hello Future Me

You let out a hefty yawn as you smacked your lips together as a sign of you waking up. You slowly moved your entire upper body up and sat up on your bed. You groaned as you looked around the room. As you did, you heard another, higher pitch groan next to you.

You laughed to yourself and leaned down towards it. Next to you was Ruby, clearly older than her 16 year old self, now around the age of 28 with you around 30. You rubbed your nose against hers and that was able to stir her awake.

Ruby: WHY?!

(Y/N): Don't blame me. You were the one who wanted kids.

Ruby raised her head and placed it onto your lap. She shifted around and cuddled up to your torso.

(Y/N): Ruby.

Ruby: I know, I know.

Ruby sat up and hugged you. You hugged back and you both crawled off of the bed and got up. Ruby walked out of your room while you went to the bathroom. After taking care of your morning shower and shaving some of the unnecessary beard hair away, you left the room and went downstairs.

Once you entered the kitchen, you saw Ruby with two cups of baby food, going back and forth between the twins. A boy you named Crimson and a girl whom Ruby named Summer. You walked to Ruby and pecked her cheek. She giggled a bit as the kids made incoherent sounds, attempting to communicate with you and Ruby.

(Y/N): I can take it form here.

Ruby: You sure?

(Y/N): Hey, It's me. I can handle it.

Ruby: Alright. (Ruby got up and began to walk away but quickly turned back to you) But if you hurt them-

(Y/N): Hey, our kids. Remember.

Ruby: I'm watching you buddy.

Ruby turned back to the stairs and proceeded to go towards them. You shrugged and were about to walk over to the twins until Ruby came out of no where and kissed you.

Ruby: Love you!

She then ran over to the kids and kissed them both on the cheeks, earning some laughter from the two of them.

Ruby: Love you too!

She then used her semblance and took off for upstairs. You just shake your head and laughed to yourself as you moved back to the kids. After feeding them, you brought them both upstairs and say Ruby herself in an updated outfit than from when you all fought against Salem and her forces.

Ruby suddenly had a look on her face of disgust. You sniff the air and suddenly realized what it was.

(Y/N): I got her.

Ruby: Yeah. It is your turn after all. Come here, Crimmy, let's get you changed for Grandpa.

Ruby took Crimson into her arms and walked over into another room for the kids. You went over to the changing spot near your dresser and grabbed a fresh diaper from the box. You removed Summer's diaper and quickly covered your nose as you changed your daughter.

(Y/N): Oh, man! That smells terrible! How did I not notice that before?!

Summer just laughed at your over the top reaction. You gave a little smirk as you smiled back at her.

(Y/N): Yeah, yeah, laugh it up, Fuzz Ball.

You placed the fresh diaper on her bottom and clipped it shut. You picked up Summer and walked into the twins' room. There, Ruby had finished dressing up Crimson in a little red tee-shirt with a pair of shorts.

Ruby: You wanna take him while I get Summer dressed.

(Y/N): Yeah. I'll handle the carseats.

Ruby: Ok.

You took Crimson in your arms and headed downstairs and towards the garage. Once inside, you opened up and walked over to a low level car and opened up the backseat. On the right side was Crimson's carseat, on the left was Summer's. You placed Crimson in his seat and strapped him in.

You pulled over a bucket and sat on it, waiting for Ruby and Summer to come out. You just watched Crimson as he would chew on a plastic ring you gave him as a toy. After a few more minutes of waiting, the two finally came out and you all drove down to Tai's.

After finally arriving at the house, you were greeted by the man himself.

Taiyang: Hey, you too.

Ruby: Hey, Dad.

(Y/N): How's it going Tai?

Taiyang: Oh, fine. Just fine. How about these two?

Ruby: You know them.

Tai takes the twins into his arms and raises them up to his shoulders.

(Y/N): I can take one if you want.

Taiyang: I got 'em, (Y/N). But, thanks for the effort.

Ruby: Thanks for looking out for them Dad. (She grabbed your hand) Now, come on!

(Y/N): Ok, ok! Tai, Remember-

Taiyang: I know, (Y/N). I know. You take care of my daughter now!

Ruby: DAD! I'm 28!

Taiyang: Geez, don't make me feel old.

Ruby basically dragged back into the car.

Ruby: Because you are old, old man!

Ruby hooped into the car and you took off.

Ruby: Have fun with the kids!

And with that you drove off.

Taiyang: Huh, just like Raven. Only with a little less portal.

The two of you drove into town on Patch, enjoying the evening and taking in the breeze. You both pulled into the parking lot of your new favorite restaurant, one that had gone international since your time in Mistral. Cardinal's Grill had expanded into Vale and Atlas, becoming a favorable place for both of you.

You both were seated in a nice booth, looking across the sea between Patch and Vale. Ordering your favorites, the two of just sat down and did what you always did, enjoy one another. As you both were, eating, the two of you began to reminisce the past and remember the good times when you both were younger.

Ruby: A-And then I said "Now that's a katana!".

You both broke down into laughter, remembering a good time up in Atlas during the war against Salem. The two of you had remembered several good times from the fight against the witch and her forces. From simple pranks you guys use to pull on your friends, battling Grimm and just spending time with one another.

Once dinner was over, you drove back to Tai's and picked up the twins and rove back to your house. After tucking the kids into bed, you and Ruby returned to your bedroom.

(Y/N): Well, that was a fun day.

Ruby: Yep. Was dinner good?

(Y/N): Dinner is waylays good at Cardinal's. You good?

Ruby: Yep. (Yawns) Just tired.

Ruby just hurled herself onto the bed. You chuckled and brought the covers over her. You moved in and laid down next to her and cuddled up to her.

Ruby: Happy anniversary, (Y/N).

(Y/N): Yeah, I love-

Your eyes shot open and you threw your body upwards. You learned where you were, your room in Mistral. You sighed as you realized it was all a dream. You heard a nock on the door and Ruby walked in.

Ruby: C'mon, (Y/N). We gotta go see Lionheart.

(Y/N): Yeah, Yeah, I'm coming, Rosebud.

Ruby: Yeah, (N/N).

(Y/N): There it is.

Ruby: Yeah. I love you.

(Y/N): I love you too.
