"Honey are you awake?" Mum's voice said as I tried to open my eyes. I heard Justin singing and few mumblings in the backgroung. As I opened my eyes mum's blurry figure started to get clearer.
"He woke up," she screamed. I replayed all the events I could remember. Jessica calling her dad and then leaving and me lying on the concrete floor. This is all I remember. I closed blinked and saw everyone around my bed. Jess, Becca, Phoebe, Daniel, mom and dad. Justin was nowhere to be found. I ignored the sadness I felt when i didn't find him. But wait if both my parents are here, who's with grandma?
"Hi honey," mom said as she opened her arms and hugged me helping me to sit. There was a plaster cast around my leg what made my moves harder.
"Hi mom," I greeted her tears escaping out of my eyes as hers touched my skin. She let go of me and wiped my tears. I looked at everyone and greeted them one by one as they all hugged me. Mom went outside to get fresh air, but I knew she didn't want me to see her cry.
"Wha- what happened?" I asked them. Daniel looked at my dad who nodded slightly.
"Martin hit you with a car in the parking," Daniel explained.
"The doctors say that you may not be able to walk on without help but with training it would get better," my dad said as he sat on the end of the bed.
"And grandma?" I asked. My dad looked away trying to hold tears. I haven't seen her in three months and now, she passed. He didn't say it but they were all dressed in black and maybe they came back from the funeral.
"She passed around midnight," he told me. The tears rushed out of my eyes, faster this time. "Tomorrow's her funeral, Jessica and the girls offered to take care of you here while Daniel helps us with the funeral."
"But I want to go," I protested.
"You can't honey," he said as he put his hand on my jaw.
"Please dad, I wanna see her for the last time," I cried. Jessica burst out crying as she sat on the couch in the corner of the room. Phoebe sat next to her and hugged her and Becca walked towards the bed where I was.
"Mr. Harrington, if he could go please let him, I will take care of him." She begged. He gave her a look as a tear escaped. He wiped it and looked at the floor for a while.
"Okay, I have to ask the doctor first," he said as he stood up. He printed a kiss on my chrek and left. Becca sat on the bed next to me.
"Can I hug you?" She asked. Maybe Becca got me hurt but she is still a good person and I couldn't dislike her. Maybe it is not what i think.
"Yeah," I smiled. She forced a smile back and hugged me.
"I know you're wondering where Justin is," she said after letting go of me.
"Not really," I denied.
"I didn't honestly ask, I was stating," she said as she searched for the 'yes you're right' in my eyes. "He went to get Clay, the doctors say supporting you may wake you up. And he did this because he wanted you back as soon as possible."
"How long have I been here?"
"T- two weeks," she said hesitantly.
"He said you can leave after he finishes the tests he is making," dad shouted as he went in. Mum followed him with a wheelchair. "But..." he said as he pointed at her.
__________
"This day was so tiring," my mom said as she took off her high heels.
"Thank you guys," I told Daniel and Becca as I followed them to the front door on the wheelchair.
"Are you sure you don't want me to take you to your room?" Daniel asked as he took his coat from the holder and wore it.
"No thanks Dan, I'm sleeping in the kichen," I joked. He laughed and then high-fived me before he left. Becca hugged me and kissed me on my cheek and then hurried into Daniel's car. It started to rain so I closed the door and went to the living room. I had bought a cane to start trying to walk. I looked at my parents that had fell asleep on the couches. My dad had installed me this chair that takes me upstairs yesterday. I took my cane and stood up. I was struggling, but I could handle it. I walked to the chair and sat. I took a breath, wrapped the belt around me and pressed the button. It moved and stopped once I was safe on the second floor. I brought blankets and came back to the chair. I was feeling a lot of pain with every step I took. I went back to this chair sat with the blankets on my tights and wrapped the belt around me and them. I held my cane and pressed the down button. Once I got downstairs I moved to my wheelchair and rested for a moment. I went covered my parents as I moved on the wheelchair between them.
I went to the kitchen and grabbed a cup of water. There was bottles and everything i needed on the floor because my parents knew I was unable to reach the counters. I put the cup where it was and took my phone out of my pocket. I tried to call Justin but he didn't answer. Again. I called Clay too, his phone was still out of range. I gave up and went to the living room.
Ding dong, the doorbell rang. Who would it be at this time? I went and opened the door.
"Andrew," Justin said as he throw himself and hugged me.
"Why are you so dirty?" I asked him as his bad smell got to me.
