The Original's Mate

Chapter one: The Forgotten One's

Third person's: POV

Everyone knows the story of how the originals were created, but no one knows the story of their soulmates and what happened to them. Well let me give you a small summery of what happened to them basically each of the originals soulmates were well, made into original vampires except for Niklaus's let's just say his mate wasn't born yet and that didn't settle very well with him.

~Flashback to the past~

Sitting in the corner of the large ballroom was none other then Niklaus Mikaelson, watching as his siblings danced with there mates happy and in love while Niklaus was misserable but he was not the only one his younger sister Rebekah knew how he felt seeing as her mate was not alive yet. It was the late nineteen hundreds and Niklaus still had not found his mate which was slowly driving him to the point of madness. Watching his siblings dance and be happy made him full of rage knowing fully well that a hybrid such as himself could never have a mate and be happy or so he believed.

Across the sea back in England the blood line that his mate was to be born from was slowly falling into place. They were moving to America to start a new life and have a fresh start, what they didn't realize was that there getting the chance to start over was no coincidence, you see this particular family's bloodline came from werewolves and the family they would be merging with would come from a vampire bloodline thus creating a hybrid but the family's would not conjoin together right away. Niklaus's mate was going to be a pure hybrid just like himself therefore there were two werewolf familys and the same with the vampires meaning that the parents would both have the hybrid jeans therefor making the child a pure hybrid and the perfect match for Niklaus seeing as she will be his only love and link to his humanity.

The clock struck midnight 'time to execute the plan' Niklaus thought to himself before standing up and approaching his oldest brother Fin and his mate Sage. "Excuse me Sage I hate to cut in but I need to speak with Fin for a moment, i'll try and be quick." Niklaus says in a polite voice. "Of course Klaus." Sage says before walking off. "What do you want Klaus?" His older brother questioned with a bit of irritation in his tone of voice. "May we speak upstairs in private?" Fin gave a small nod before following Niklaus upstairs and into a room with five coffins. "What is this Klaus?" Fin questioned while looking around at the coffins. "Just showing my dear siblings how I feel." Niklaus says before thrusting a stake into Fin's heart. "Don't worry brother, i'll awaken you in the near future." Niklaus whispered before Fin turned into a living corpse. Moving quickly Niklaus placed his brother into one of the coffins and turned around to see a stunned Kol staring at him in shock. Before he could react Niklaus had done the same thing to Kol as he had just done to Fin. 'two siblings down two to go' Niklaus thought to himself before exiting the room in search of Elijah who just so happened to be walking by at the time. "Klaus have you seen Kol, Imogen can't seem to find him." Elijah asks causing Klaus to grin as he nodded his head and motioned to the room behind him. "Yes I have actually, he's in here, follow me."

I think you can guess at what happened next, out of all of the Mikaelson children Rebekah was the one to live the longest until the day she met her soulmate then she joined Fin, Elijah, and Kol. Alone in the world Niklaus made it his mission to seek out the doppelganger and break the curse unleashing the werewolf part of him that was meant to be permanently dormant.
