I can suddenly hear things better, I can see clearer. That's when I realized it was just my mind, a dream. All around me is white with blank spaces, except for the people in my view. Suddenly, the atmosphere around me changed into a girl's room. I recognized it, it was Theo's room before he was born.
Our parents thought they were going to get a girl after having two boys, Liam and me, so they bought the typical pink, girly things for their unborn baby. If only you could've seen their faces when they realized they had a baby boy, they had no idea what to do with the feminine things they bought. I took it off their hands since I was dating at the time, and my boyfriend happened to be the most feminine in the relationship.
Oddly enough, when I tried to feel my wings, they weren't there. And when I tried running a hand through my hair, my beanie was sitting on top. Did I go back in time or something? Looking back where I saw the figures, two people sitting on the bed, I realized the scenery changed again. I was in my room, and the two people were my boyfriend and girlfriend, Jordan Clements and Harper Verde.
"H-Hey guys," I managed to mumble out, folding my hands awkwardly. Harper pulled me closer to them, making me sit on the floor. She was lightly threatening my masculinity, but it wasn't like I minded. I knew something wasn't right about this. Besides the fact that it was an obvious hallucination or something, or maybe I fell asleep and was having a nightmare. The scene changed again, forming into another feminine-like room. In an instant I knew I was in my girlfriend's, Harper's, room.
She was standing in the middle of her room with someone else. The other person had horns and a tail, but they looked plastic. Looking to my left, I noticed her calendar that marked when each day passed up to the present day. This happened a week after I passed. I shook my head and stayed hidden, knowing she couldn't see or hear me since I wasn't here when this took place.
"Deal, Harper?"
"Deal, sir!" she exclaimed a little over-excitedly. Before I knew it, she cut her cheek and let the other male lick it off of her face. I nearly gagged, having to cover my mouth, no matter how disgusted I was starting to feel. The stranger disappeared with a wink, leaving Harper in her room alone, besides me. "It's okay, Chance," she sat on the edge of her bed with a beautiful grin.
I thought she was talking to me before noticing she was looking nowhere in my direction. "I'll- I'll see you in heaven, okay? You, Jordan, and I can be together again. I.... I don't know if Jordan will want to see you again, but who cares about him? He's too much of a scaredy cat." As soon as those sour words poured from her lips, I saw something change about her. Her eyes were no longer emerald green. They looked a lot more.... yellowish.
