~Chance's POV~

I lost visual connection with the vision orb when I felt someone shake me. I was under a tree, and to me, it seemed like I was back in the real world. Conscious, alive, awake. In front of me was a female with raven hair and black clothes, blood dripping from her lips. "Hello....?" I tried to stutter out, shifting away from her and getting up quickly.

"Oh you're alive. I sort of assumed you were dead...."

"Did you bite me??"

She raised an eyebrow and lifted a finger to the top of her lip, wiping a smudge of blood away, and examining it. She looked at me again with her yellow eyes. "First of all, I don't swing that way. Second of all, this wasn't from a victim. Someone got in my way and..... Let's say they were a little unfortunate," she shook her head, taking a step forward, and I took a step back. "We got off on the wrong fang here."

I wanted to fly away, but I made a promise that I wouldn't do that. "What do you want from me?"

"Amser D., at your service honey," she bowed and stood back up. "I know you angels have a history with us demons, but hey, not all of us are that bad. Or we are, depending who you get your information from, I suppose."

I glared at her, my defensive mode starting to kick in slowly. "That didn't answer my question, Amser. What do you want from me?"

Amser sighed, shaking her head once more. "Do you want to know why your family hates you?"

"What?"

"Your family. They hate you."

"I know Liam does, but he's got a very good reason for it."

"Your ENTIRE family hates you, Chance! It's because they can't learn to let go of you. Why do you think you follow them everywhere? Because. They. Can't. Let. Go."
