I glanced down at the angel following my every move, chuckling a bit to myself. I thought it was funny to run from an angel, especially when the worst thing he can do to me is....

That's it.

"Bet you can't catch me, chew-toy!" I yelled at him to get him to fly after me faster, speeding up myself, flapping my wings as hard as I could. It took me some time to realize Orsaraoh was watching, following almost, by using a vision orb. Those suckers let him see the truth hidden inside something or, if wanted, someone.

Want to know what you're getting for your birthday? Take a vision orb, close your eyes, and let it sort of read the gift-giver, most likely your nonexistent friends or family. Hearing Orsaraoh's voice through the orb made me remember what I was doing in the first place, "What are you doing, Zinnalan?? You're going to get yourself killed!"

Well, that is the plan. I kept flying through the sky, getting a taste of doing something without a target's soul screaming at poor decisions I choose for them. I can still feel the bitterness in my voice when I caused the most damage to my target.

"Why not? He's my brother."

"Not anymore. I heard Mom tell Dad that she's considering putting you up for adoption. I hope the other foster kids make your life worse than you've made ours."

I felt a shiver down my spine at the memory, not even listening to Orsaraoh's words of warning, trying to convince me to return to him and just give up Liam's soul for the angels in heaven. "Orsaraoh, I'm willing to reconsider," I said to the orb, but didn't stop flying. If I did, Kabshiel would do anything in his power to make sure I did not take back my words. That's something I admired in him, how he was stubborn enough not to take no for an answer. "Get the orb ready, I'll be right there."

Fortunately the vision orb left to return to him, and I took a deep breath. I hated getting attached to targets, but then again, it was worth it. He doesn't deserve to end up like his older brother, that'd be cold. I made sure Kabshiel was still behind me and flew off the direction the orb was leading. I was more than willing to do the boy a favor, especially for the times he's helped us in the past. Even if he can't remember that well.

Kabshiel dropped down right before Orsaraoh, and I dropped down after some more thinking. I let out a relieved sigh when I knew the orb was in his hands, ready to turn in Liam to heaven, to get rid of him. If I had the power to, I'd do everything to bring back the eldest boy. I waited until he kneeled down beside the brunette, before taking the orb entirely out of his hands and letting it do its thing.

My aura, something this kind of orb takes away as in removing the soul of someone, of dark red smoke surrounded me for a moment. My eyes had gone grey and dull, and my wings dropped, losing their color, too. The aura swirled around and around, then flew into the aura orb, filling it with red.

The last thing I remembered seeing was Kabshiel and Orsaraoh sitting around the orb with my aura inside it, asking for me to return, saying they wanted me back more than they wanted to accomplish their mission. I dropped to the ground near Liam, managing to crack a smile when I saw his eyes open, and then everything went black.
