Narrator's POV.

"Come back from today's run, don't get hurt," You hugged Minho and Ben before their run. You slipped their lunch and snack packs on their bags. "Watch each other's back," You said.

"We will, Mom," Minho sassed at you. It's always been a daily morning routine to do a sass battle between you and Minho. 

"Be really careful. Protect each other's back," Newt said as he squeezed Minho's shoulder.

"Yes, dad," Minho grinned.

"Glad we have such a caring sister and brother like you two here," Ben grinned and messed your hair.

"Don't trip on the bricks, Minho," You sassed him back.

"I won't, Mom," Minho said as he winked toward you and Newt who were out there sending the runners into the maze.

[Time Skip]

Minho came out from the maze, without Ben. Ben was out a while after Minho got out. You ran out of the kitchen when you saw Minho. His face looked so horrid. He was sweating like crazy. He was crying. Minho never cried, not even when he was weary. But not this time, he was crying. You hugged him and patted his back.

"Minho, what happened?" You asked.

"Ben, he saved my life," He cried.

"What happened to him?" You asked.

"Ben got stung." He whispered in between his sobs. "He'll go through the changing soon."

"He was heading to the woods." You said.

"Bloody hell, Tommy was there. Tommy was still doing what I told him this morning," Newt said as he jogged to the woods as he heard Thomas shouting, calling out for help. "Stay there, stay with Minho," he commanded and you stayed there, comforting Minho.

"Hey, Minho. Let's go to the tree house. Let's sit there for a moment," You pulled his hand and guided him to the tree house. The place you know could comfort him.

"HEELLLPPP" the voice echoed all over the glade it's Thomas. You and Minho sprinted down the tree house into the deadheads and found Ben choking Thomas to death.

"Ben Stop!" You shouted as he looked at you, darkened veins popped out from his neck, his skin turned pale and his eyes are bloodshot red. 

"I'm gonna kill you too. This is all because of you," He charged unto you. Fortunately, Zart came and hit him with his shovel. "Ben, It's me. It's Mia," you cried and hugged him.

"Stop, Mia. He's about to choke you to death." Chuck shouted. But then Ben turned to look at you as a shovel hit him on the head pretty hard. But he sent you into an unconscious state before he got shovelled on his head.

"Take him to the pit. And take Mia to the med-hut," Alby said, Minho and Newt accompanied you and Thomas to the med-hut while the rest of the boys took Ben to the Slammer.

"Thomas will be okay. On the other hand, Mia will be a little unstable due to the shock," Jeff explained.
