"He Didn't Just See It, He Killed It"

Mia's POV

I woke up inside the Med-Hut. Newt was sleeping beside me. He must be really tired watching over me. I then thought of Minho. I began crying like crazy. I couldn't afford to lose him after I found him. I burst into a sea of tears and sobbed quietly so I wouldn't wake Newt up. I laid back facing Newt and began sobbing madly.

"Mia, are you okay?" Jeff kneeled in front of me.

"...." I shook my head lightly.

"I brought you some bread, please have some," Jeff whispered and handed a sandwich along with a flask of milk. "Eat some. You will need energy, waiting for Minho and Thomas," He whispered.

"I can't eat while Minho and Tommy are starving out there,"I cried. "I want to die, Jeff," I sobbed.

"Don't die. Minho and Thomas wouldn't want to see you dead when they're back," He patted my back.

"Jeff, is she awake?" Newt got up and walked to the other side of the bed to find me crying an ocean.

"She refused to eat again, Newt," Jeff said as he let Newt talk to me.

"Mia please, eat some," he kneeled down in front of me. "Here, let me feed you," He cut down the sandwich into smaller bits and tried to feed me.

I gave in and started eating one bite. "Good that," Newt smiled and eased my tears.

"Newt, I want to go outside. I wanna wait for them," I said as I continued eating the rest of the sandwich bites.

"I'll wait with you, Mia," He said and hugged me as soon as I finished eating.

"Newt, Don't leave me alone," I cried. I'm afraid to lose each of them. All the people I could remember important in my life. He nodded and led me to the doors, waiting for the runners and Thomas to be back to the glade. No signs of them coming back.

That morning when the door opened...

"Guys, get up!" Chuck shouted as he saw the door opened in front of him.

"I told you, chuck. They're not coming back," Newt said. Newt gave up. It was almost sundown. And he gave up believing in them.

Just as they started turning their backs on the maze, Zart turned his head back and saw the miracle.

"No way," he said.

Then all I heard was Chuck cheering and everyone ran back to the door to find Minho, Thomas and Alby coming out through those walls.

"What the hell happened out there?"

"How'd you guys make it out?"

And various other questions came up as they settle Alby on the ground and the med-jacks got busy examining him.

"Did you guys saw a griever?" Chuck asked.

"Yes, we saw one," Thomas said.

"He didn't just see it, He killed it!" Minho added.

I was watching them from afar. I was silently crying an ocean as I saw both Thomas and Minho. Newt was gathering with the other when I ran farther from them to the treehouse. I cried alone at the treehouse. I couldn't say anything. I heard footsteps. One of them sounded like Minho's run. The other one sounded like Tommy's they were following my steps to the treehouse.

"Mia," Minho called me.

I didn't reply, I hid and cried.

"Mia, I'm back," Minho called me again. It just made me cry even more. "I'm going up," He said as he climbed the stairs to the treehouse.

"Minho," I cried and hugged him. "I'm sorry." I cried so hard into his chest. My stuffy chest gradually went loose.

"I'm sorry, Mia, I'm really terribly sorry," He hugged me tight and kissed the top of my head.

"I thought you were dead, I thought you and Tommy never survived the griever," I whined and cried my heart out.

"Mia, I'm here, Thomas' here, Alby too. We're safe," I tried to comfort her.

"Hey, Sis," Thomas said as he came up to the treehouse.

"Mia," Newt came up as well, all four of us doing the group hug.

"We are all together now," Thomas said.

"We love you, Mia," Newt hugged all of us.

"Mia won't stop crying since yesterday. She wouldn't stop screaming your name and Tommy's when she passed out. She refused to eat or drink," Newt told everything happened when Minho and Tommy were gone.

Minho's POV

I asked Newt and Thomas if I could have time to speak alone with her. I missed her. I realise through all the time I've missed out, I really wanted to spend time together with her. Just the two of us. After I took shower and so did her, we went to the watchtower together to do the star gazing together and also to do the catching up we left behind for the whole two days. I asked Fry to lend me a hand setting up the dinner for two up the watchtower. We walked hand in hand to the tower.

"Minho," She cooed.

"Yes, Mia," I looked at her. Her face was glowing. The torch just added the glow on her face.

"Thank you for coming back in one piece." She hugged me when we reached the foot of the watchtower.

"Thank you for thinking of me when I'm gone," I hugged her back. "Let's go up. Fry and I had something for you."

"What is it?" she asked.

"Come with me," I lead her to the top of the tower. "You have to eat with me. I'm starving and you had been starving yourself. So, we're even. And Fry here has kindly prepared a feast for the two of us," I grinned ear to ear.

"Thanks, Fry," She nodded as Fry excused himself back to the homestead.

"Why did you starve yourself?" I asked when we started digging into the food.

"I can't afford eating anything when I know you and Thomas are out there, probably lacking food." She explained and tears started rolling down her rosy cheeks.

"Minho," She called me gently.

"Yes?" I looked at her.

"Look, it's Neverland," she pointed at the brightest star.

"Never... what?" I asked again.

"It's Neverland," She said. "The place where life is eternal and evergreen," She continued.

"You mean we would never get old or sick?" I asked.

"Yess," she beamed.

"I'd like to go there with you, Tommy and Newt." She said and that made me blush.

Now I remember, I used to fight Newt to find out who would be the best one for her. I guess it would be another survival of the most eligible bachelor right here in the glade. She's the only girl around. And from what I studied both Newt and I had already remembered about those things left behind all these years. She's moving to the cottage tomorrow night, Maybe that'll be my moment to win her.
