The New Girl Greenie

Mia's POV

The siren was blaring. It got everyone out of the council hall to the glade. I was out there with them at the front row. The box came up. It had been two weeks since Tommy and I got here. It didn't make any sense to any of us.

"The Box, It's coming back up." Gally said.

"It shouldn't be." Some other said.

Newt then jumped into the box. He looked up with a look at me. He was trying to send something to me.

"Newt, what do you see?" I asked.

"Do you see it? It's another girl." He said with a frown.

"No way." Zart shouted.

"I call dibs," Some other said.

"Shut up you, slint heads," I growled.

Something weird. She didn't even move an inch. She blacked out. That's what I could observe so far.

"I think she's dead." Newt said, checking on her. The girl's eyes were closed.

"What's in her hand?" I asked, there was a letter on her hand.

"She's the last one... ever." Newt read and looked at me with a puzzled look.

"What the hell does that mean?" Gally frowned.

"Whoa! Thomas..." The girl shouted as she woke up and some seconds after that, she blacked out again. I looked at Thomas and shrugged. She recognised him after all.

"Do you still think I'm overreacting?" Gally said.

The boys then carried the girl into the med-hut. Jeff then put her on the bed and started to patch her. Clint was still watching after Alby. There was nothing good about Alby's condition. He's still in the state that he'd choke someone to death.

"Jeff, what's going on?" Newt asked. Upon the condition of the new girl. "What's the matter with her?" Newt asked as he watched the new girl who was now still fainted.

"Why won't she wake up?" I asked curiously

"Hey man, I got my job the same way you did." Jeff said as he washed the cloth he used to clean the girl up Just now.

"Do you recognize her?" Newt asked Thomas as he looked at her then shifted to Thomas. I would have remember her if she knew Thomas. But nothing came up in my mind. Nothing at all. No clues about her. Thomas and I were clueless about her.

"No." Thomas shook his head.

"Really? Because she seemed to recognize you." Newt looked at Thomas with a quizzical look.

'What about the note?" Thomas asked Newt back.

"We'll worry about the note later." Newt crossed her arms in front of his chest.

"I think you should worry about it now. We've got enough to deal with at the moment." Gally said with a cynical tone as his eyes pierced a hole on Thomas' forehead.

"He's right, Newt. If the Box isn't coming back up, how long do you think we can last?" Jeff said. He's talking in the perspectives of a Med-Jack. If the supplies of medical goods were not coming up anymore, how long would we last in here? Gally was still trying to get everyone to banish my brother.

"We'll just wait until she wakes up and see what she knows. Somebody has gotta have some answers around here." Newt said as he rubbed his chin, thinking.

"Newt's right," I said as I walk to Gally. "I know you had a grudge on my brother. I'm gonna tell you this once. He knows what he did. You have to break that thoughts and believe in him. If you couldn't please, I'm begging you, believe in me," I said as I left the Med-Hut and ran to my tree house at the deadheads. I need a break. Gally is trying to banish my brother and I wouldn't let that go.
