Assassination Classroom: Chapter 35
--------------------------------------"Huh?..."
"School trip guidebook, page 1,243: 'What Do I Do When a Group Member Has Been Abducted?; If you have no leads on the perpetrator, begin by using their accent and conversational topics to determine if they are from a local area. If not, and they are wearing a school uniform, see page 1,344.'..." They stepped out of the doorway and into the light. "Nagisa-kun!" I yelled before the man tightened his grip around my mouth. "Quiet, you!" He yelled. Nagisa glared at the man with his hand around my mouth and continued quoting the book. "'You may be up against another student on a school trip who's been stirring up trouble.'" Nagisa finished. "You're here!" Kayano yelled with a smile. "H-How'd you know where we were?!" The thug-leader demanded, interrupting Kayano. Nagisa started up again. "'As they may be unfamiliar with the area, the perpetrator won't travel far after the abduction. Rather, they will choose a secluded spot nearby. In such a situation, see page 134 of the appendix, my Mach 20 bird's-eye-view map of common abductor hideouts may help.'" Nagisa closed and put down the book. "So, what's your next move, my friends? You've already done so much. I'd be happy to give you a guided tour..." Karma looked up, shadows hiding various spots on his face. "Of the hospital." His response was enough to make me shudder, which meant that the person he was talking to must have been scared-out-of-his-pants. "Man, you junior high brats must think you're tough... Here come the buddies I called." Everyone's attention shifted to the door. "They're badasses the likes of which you do-gooder brats have never..." He stopped. A yellow tentacle was around the necks of four knocked-out men. "Korosensei!" Kanzaki yelled, happily. "Have never... HUHH?!" "No badasses here, I took care of them all." Korosensei said, anger clearly written on his face. "Sorry I'm late. I had a detailed investigation of my own to take care of." He smiled. "And, uh, why're you hiding your face like some stagehand?" Nagisa beckoned. "I can't have my students associating my face with the violent acts I will follow." There was a long pause. "Fortunately, Nagisa-kun was able to contact me because he brought his guidebook." he said before dropping books into the hands of Sugino, Karma and Okuda. "Th-This is your teacher?! Get real! What kinda joker does this asshole think he is?!" The gang leader yelled before some of his comrades lunged at Korosensei. "'Get real', you say?..." Korosensei starts, and I feel a chill run down my spine. He punched them all away at Mach 20. "...That's my line." he punched em' all down. His face turned black, his teeth opened, and his eyes flashed bright red. "You're too slow to swat a fly, let alone me. Keep your filthy hands off my students!" And like idiots, they actually got up again and lunged at him before spatting some crap about our rank, and how we look down on them because of the school we go to. Korosensei swatted them away, like it was nothing. "Their school is famous, that's true... but these students are considered the school pariahs. The mere name is an object of discrimination. And yet... they always keep a positive outlook on life... They never drag others down with them, quite unlike you." he had said all that while fighting. "In the end, school and prestige mean nothing. Be they in a clear stream, or muddy river... the fish who swim in the right direction always come out on top." Kanzaki's face lit up... It inspired me. "Now, then, students... Let's finish them off!" Korosensei yelled as Okuda, Sugino, Karma, and Nagisa came up from behind each of the thugs and whacked them over the head with each of their books. They were all knocked out. I decided I wanted to help, so I bit the man's hand, to be followed by a swift but hard slap on the cheek... Everyone was shocked, and Korosensei looked to where I was slapped... A red hand mark on my cheek. His face turned the angriest it could possibly be. Karma and Nagisa immediately dropped their books and ran towards us, as did Korosensei. Korosensei didn't want to let us know what was going to happen to the thug who slapped me, so he grabbed him and took off for a swift second. Karma held my cheek for me, as it stung and my hands were tied behind my back. Nagisa untied me and I felt tears well up in my eyes. I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to eliminate any signs of crying, but that made them fall. Down my cheek and over Karma's hand. Sugino and Okuda untied Kanzaki and Kayano. They ran towards me, and I smiled through my tears.

Koi-chan has always been a fragile girl... even if she used to hide it with her icy, expressionless face... That must have really hurt her... I could only hope that what that thug had gotten from Korosensei was painful as could be. To distract her from her pain, I picked her up bridal-style. Her eyes widened and her cheeks turned a bright shade of pink. I wiped away her tears and she sniffed. "Thank you..."
"Anytime, Koi-chan."
