You followed Kara into the DEO. She was going to help you surprise Lena. You were a metahuman and had always hidden your powers to avoid people using them in ways you didn't like. Essentially, you vowed never to become a hero linked to an organization like the DEO or a government of any kind. You were sort of going back on that vow, but it was for a good cause, at least in your mind.

People had been really coming down on Lena, including her so-called boyfriend James. You knew it was only a matter of days before she came to her senses and broke up with him. Although, you'd been thinking that since they'd gotten together and it hadn't happened yet. Lena didn't know about James being one of the assholes that constantly put her down and you weren't using that to break them up, you'd be using yourself. You vowed to be the hero that Lena wanted you to be, the one that at the end of the day, she'd come running into the arms of.

"Why exactly are you doing this Y/n?" Kara asked and you shrugged. "Because I thought you were pretty keen on not becoming a superhero. You said saving the world wasn't in your agenda for the day."

"I'm not becoming the world's newest hero, I'm not even becoming the city's, I'm becoming Luthor's hero. I mean, if anybody needs it, she does," you said and Kara nodded. Normally people referring to Lena as Luthor was a big no-no, but she seemed to take the nickname well and you only said her last name with the utmost love and affection you could muster.

"You've got the biggest crush on her I swear," Kara said with a chuckle and the two of you began to spar. You were getting to the point where you could nearly beat her, your powers no longer feeling as clumsy as they had when you'd started training. "I don't see why you don't just ask her out on a date."

"You sound like Ruby," you said, jumping to avoid a Spartan kick from her. You managed to barely hit her in the shoulder with your a kick, knocking her a bit back. You took this opportunity to completely ambush her with attacks, managing to pin her to the ground after about 3 minutes of attacking her. "I think that's enough for today. I want to try on the suit, get Alex so she can change the thing."

"Alright, you have to get off me first," Kara said and you did, waiting patiently on the bench as she did. Alex came back and with a look of both pride and surprise, she put a tally mark under your name. You then followed both of them to where your suit was hiding. Alex opened the case and pulled it out, ignoring the fact that both Kara and yourself were practically bouncing up and down. "Winn's going to be jealous you didn't ask him to make your suit."

"He can get over it because this is awesome!" you excitedly yelled and Alex smiled at you. "Lena's going to love this so much. At least I hope she does, do you think I've made a mistake?"

"Never," Kara said and they helped you from your clothes into the suit and then took you to a different training room. "Now will you tell us what the suit does?"

"Okay, so, when you originally asked for this, you told me you wanted to fight alongside Kara, so I gave you some Kryptonian-like powers," Alex said and you glanced at Kara excitedly. "It's all activated through your mind essentially, but you have to be doing certain things for it to work. If you want to activate superhuman speed, you have to either be running or flying and think about going faster. If you want to fly, jump and think about flying. Before you can leave with it, I'll install the chip so that you can activate these things."

"Um, okay," you said and within the next couple of days, you'd gotten the chip and begun to train with the suit. It took you three months to be cleared to go out and do your own thing, your first stop being Lena's office. You flew onto the balcony, glad that Alex and Kara both made you practice landing for three entire weeks out of your training because that balcony would have been destroyed had you brushed it off. You knocked on the sliding glass doors and watched as Lena jumped at her desk before getting up and opening the door.

"Who might you be?" she asked and you took a step inside and commanded your suit to retract the helmet. "Y/n, I didn't peg you as the superhero type. Going to save National City like Supergirl then?"

"Luthor, if I wanted to do that, we'd have matching miniskirts," you teased and Lena rolled her eyes at your joke, but chuckled nonetheless. "Actually, I'm here to tell you that I'm not National City, the DEO, or even the World's hero, I'm Luthor's hero."

"Me?" Lena asked and you nodded. "Where did you get that suit?"

"I've got friends at the DEO now. It's a pretty sweet suit actually, but if you wanted, you could totally make me an alternate one. Just talk to Alex because this is connected to my brain," you said and Lena nodded. "What do you think?"

"I think you should make sure you don't get yourself hurt. I don't really need a hero to save me," Lena said and you frowned. "I like the thought though, it's sweet."

"I guess it's back to the drawing boards," you said getting up. Lena grabbed your arm and looked at you, her green eyes gazing into your soul.

"Keep being a hero though, I can already tell it suits you well," Lena said, kissing you softly. "Just don't dedicate yourself to one person. The world will love you, I can already tell. Perhaps Cat Co could be where you make your debut."

"I like the sound of that," you said and Lena smiled as you kissed her softly. "I'll be the people's hero, but in my heart I'm going to try and be yours."

"You already are," Lena said and you put your helmet back on, got a running start, and flew off of her balcony, audibly celebrating. Lena chuckled and watched you soar through the sky, off towards the DEO.
