Kara looked at you hopefully from across the couch. She'd asked you a question about children. If you wanted them to be specific. You weren't against the idea, but you were certain that using her DNA would not be a great idea. You could barely take care of yourself and having to get lead lined walls and taking care of flying children was on currently on your bucket list.
"Y/n..." Kara trailed off, looking sadly at the ground. She had taken your silence as a no, which had obviously hurt her feelings. Not to mention the guilt you were feeling because of her puppy dog eyes. "I just thought, maybe we could do that. Have something of our own, that was us, but different."
"Kara, I'm not opposed to having kids with you. I'd love to, I love you. Here's the thing, they get your DNA, they get your powers, and I am not about to have a bunch of little fuckers flying around my apartment." You said moving closer to her with each sentence until you were close enough to peck at her lips. "So, it is not a thing where I don't love you, it's that I am not ready and the very thought stresses the shit out of me."
"Oh, okay." Kara said and you smiled at her. "I guess we can wait until you feel ready."
"I mean, I doubt I'll ever be ready for that." You said and Kara looked sad again. "But that doesn't mean I won't try when we finally take that step."
"Good." Kara said kissing you softly. "We have dinner with Alex and Maggie Friday."
"Okay, so, are they helping with the wedding?" You asked and Kara shrugged. "See, our life is chaotic enough with little superbabies flying around."
