"Try jumping from each corner now." Tony instructed Peter. The boy perched from the wall nodded and got on the back of his heels and leaped to the other wall. He latched onto it like a life line.
"Great! So, you'll be waiting at that corner. When they come to get me again you'll sneak out carefully so they won't see you. I'll get put of these chains and, that's all I got so far." Tony sighed, and shook his head in frustration.
Peter smiled and climbed off the wall and went back to walking on the ground. "I could web them up! Like when they move to fight, I'll be hidden so it'll be easier for you." The brown haired boy suggested.
Tony's face light up with a grin, "Kid! You're a genius. Why didn't I think about that?"
"Probably hungry? I got more jerky if you want some." Peter offered."Nah, I'm good. It should be around noon or so. They come in the late afternoon. We got time. You should get some rest, eat the rest of the jerky, you'll be doing most of the heavy work after all." Tony told the boy.
"Thank you Mr. Stark!" Peter cheered.
"Don't thank me, I didn't do much. If anything I just gave you a pen that was in my pocket." Tony shrugged off the gratitude of the young one.Peter blushed and ducked his head down, "Still, I wouldn't have found energy or hope to escape. That was all you. Thank you."
Tony just nodded with a small smile, "Get to sleep then. I'll wake you in a few hours."The steel door opened and a man in a suit walked in. "Mr. Stark! How nice to meet your acquaintance. Come, it's questioning time again!"
At the corner of his eye Tony saw something move out the door. Feeling secure that the plan was going on the way, Tony walked out with the man without a word.
"No snarky comments? I would expect more from the great and Powerful Stark." The man sneered at him.
"Yeah, well you did make a mistake." Tony shrugged crossing his arms."Oh yeah? And what's that?" The man inquired.
"You didn't give me handcuffs."Peter swung in and kicked the man off his feet. Taken back by the force and sudden weight the man stumbled back and crashed into the floor.
Peter stood by Tony with a smile on his face. "Look! I did it!" The brown haired kid exclaimed in excitement.
Tony nodded and grabbed the boy's hand running from the body. "Let's find an emergency exit for something."The duo ran through hallways searching for a fire alarm or a big door with red letters. Peter stood against the wall panting heavily. The kid felt lightheaded like he was going to puke.
"Kid? You okay?" Tony questioned when he realized that he was the only one running. The man ran back to the nine year old and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Okay, let's take a quick breather."
They stood there with Tony looking at the empty hallway making sure they were alone. "Guess that was too much excitement for you, huh?" He joked.
Peter let put a breathless laugh, "Maybe. It's been awhile."
Tony hummed in response and perked his head up when he heard a noise from the other end of the hall. "Kid."Peter looked up eyes widening. Footsteps sounded softly on the pavement. Coming towards them. Toy glanced at the boy and picked him up. "Hold on tight." Tony whispered as he turned the other way and began running.
The brown haired boy clung tightly onto the man and buried his face into his chest. He wanted it to all be over. For his family to be okay again. To be outside.
Tony cursed when he ran into a dead end. He quickly turned but didn't see anyone behind them. The man sat the kid down and told a hold of his hand. "Keep close." He ordered. Peter nodded with a scared look on his face.
Suddenly Peter climbed up the wall and waited hidden at the corner. Tony stared as a blunt object slammed against his shoulder. Letting out a yelp of pain, the man knelt to the floor and clutched his bleeding shoulder tightly.
Peter jumped on top of the man and yanked at his hair. The other man groaned and tried swatting the kid with the object. Missing every time as Peter ducked out of the way. Finally, Peter got a hold of the object and slammed it against the man's pressure point in his neck.
He slumped to the ground and Peter immediately went to Tony's side. "Good work kid!" Tony slurred his words. Peter gnawed at the inside of his cheek nervously behind helping Tony to his feet.
They started their mission again only to be stopped by a man with a bow. Peter went into defensive mode and glared at him. The man with the bow smiled awkwardly and waved.
Peter frowned but couldn't speak as Tony suddenly passed out on him.
"I'm Clint."
