"So," Clint started as Peter fell asleep in Tony's arms. Said man only raised an eyebrow in response as he laid the kid down on the couch. "What's going on with him?"

"Well, you have kids right? What do you think I plan on doing?" Tony asked, brushing Peter's bangs away from his eyes, before placing a blanket over him.

Clint's eyes widen slightly, "You're going to adopt him?"
"Only if no one else takes him." Tony shrugged, "He's got special abilities. He's been through too much already. Going  into foster care isn't something he could handle."

The archer smiled, "You've gotten attached to him."
The genius coughed and looked away, back to his tablet with blue prints on it.

"I'm not judging. You two are clearly attached to the other. You've already created a father son bound." Clint said.

"Father son." Tony repeated. Flashbacks of his childhood seemed to hunt him so suddenly. A chill ran up his spine as he took a quick look at the brown haired kid. Tony wondered if he soon be in charged of another human. Or if he would mess this up also.

"Well, you would be a good parent. A helicopter parent." Clint spoke, not noticing how Tony's breath seem to quick up speed.
"Helicopter parent?" Tony questioned.

"Like, you'll always be around him. Overprotective, wanting to know where he is at all times. Nothing bad, it'll get annoying to Peter though." Clint shrugged.

Peter moved in his sleep and mumbled out something under his breath. Tony smiled at how relaxed the kid seemed to be. When he first meet him, he seemed for scared but putting on a brave face to hide his emotions.

Tony saw himself in Peter, and to be honest it terrified him.

"Well, anyways Steve called. Better go help them pack. He's bad about getting kicked out. Which makes no sense." Clint rolled his eyes, getting up from his seat. He waved goodbye to the other man and left the room.

Tony sighed as he leaned back in the chair he was sitting on. Looking at the small kid laying down sleeping peacefully. The man wondered how many nightmares the kid has. Because even though Peter was held in captivity for longer than Tony was. The avenger still had nightmares about Afghanistan.

"How do you think I'll be at parenting, FRIDAY?" Tony questioned still staring at Peter.
"Based on information on you acting towards children on your spare time, and your actions towards your fellow avengers. I'd say you'll be an amazing father, boss." FRIDAY answered.

Tony felt warmth spread in his chest as a smile worked its way up to his lips. Maybe the AI was being bias because he was the one who had created her in the first place. But the fact that she has been watching on how he interacted with everyone in his life.

And deemed that he was qualified for taking care of a child. It just boasted the man's ego.
"Okay, pull up the paperwork." Tony told FRIDAY.

Paperwork of the adoption agency was shown on the screen. Tony himself had exceeded everything that was on the list to be a foster parent. To adopt a child. However since Peter was an orphan, he would need a court order. And Peter's blessing.

"Tony?" Peter yawned, rubbing his eyes.
"Hey, squirt. How are you feeling?" Tony greeted with a smile.

"Tired. What are those?" Peter questioned, looking at the somewhat familiar documents.
"Adoption papers." Tony replied anxiously.

The man watched as the child's eyes widen in surprise and stared at the man in front of him.
"Only if you want too, I just figured I'd take you in. You need a stable environment, and I'm as stable as rich people get. In a way, most of them don't fight bad guys. Save for batman." Tony paused.

"Fortunately for you, batman doesn't exist."
"But, I mean, would you want me around?" Peter asked, biting his lip looking anxious.

The brown haired man smiled at the boy and patted his head. "Peter, I would love to be your adoptive dad. Nothing would make me happier."

Peter beamed and wrapped his arms around the man. Tony hugged the boy back, unable to keep the heartfelt smile off of his face. He couldn't believe it, someone wanted him as a dad. To look up to, and look for in advice.

Maybe he was getting ahead of himself, but this feeling was so light a bubbly. Tony could tell that this would be the greatest decision that he could ever make.

And so they spent the rest of the month getting ready for the adoption to be finalized. Because of course with all of Tony's connections and the fact that he had the best lawyers in the country. Made the cycle go by faster.

And when the news came that Peter became a Stark, Tony couldn't swept the smile off of his lips for the rest of the week. As he and his son got to spend time together. Who knew parks could be so fun?

Somewhere else in the world, a doctors life was going to change forever, as well. When Doctor Stephen Strange walked through creepy old doors and found something, not quite normal.
