Chapter 10 TEASER

Adeline froze in place as Bumblebee cocked the giant gun in his arms. It was too big for his lean body as his arms trembled under its great weight. But his stern face covered it all, his furious azure optics burning into Adeline and she was captured in their churning blue sea. The cold, unwelcoming metal tapped against Adeline's helm lightly as Bee pressed it up against her, his eyes hardening even more.

     "Leave," was all he said before placing his finger on the trigger; his hands were shaking more furiously now. Adeline felt fear rise up inside her, this is not what she had had in mind. Adeline started to back up, wings spread lowly as her tail swished nervously. Bumblebee followed her as he kept the gun pressed to her skull. She growled lowly as he pressed it harder onto her head. "Go. Now," he warned again, his tone was edged with hurt as his voice warbled. The helipad slammed open behind Bee but he didn't even flinch as his eyes stayed trained on Adeline. Optimus walked up behind him, placing a hand on his shoulder but he still did not waver.

      Adeline quickly transformed into her bot mode, staring up at Optimus with big eyes, "Optimus I swear I can explain everything."

      Optimus looked at her with unmoving eyes, "Bee, stand down."

      "No Optimus. She's a traitor, she needs to leave or she dies. It's the only way."

      "I command you to stand down."

       Bee's shoulders sagged in defeat as he dropped the gun on the ground, his eyes sad and filled with hurt. Adeline's stomach churned with guilt as she saw the anger and betrayal seething through him. "Optimus..." he clenched his hands into fists before storming away, jumping on the helipad and shooting back into the base.

      Optimus turned to Adeline, "why are you here Adeline?" He said with a stern voice, his eyes hard.
