Alex
While I was dealing with the headaches of morning sickness and all its glory, Erik and Gloria had seemed to get closer. I can't blame them, and I was happy for them. I like Gloria, and Erik needed someone like her. I guess we're with whom we're supposed to be within your life.
Now, Jake, he was having a field day because of the pregnancy. I forgot how he was with Jacob. If it was one thing about Jake, being pregnant was a huge turn on for him.
I was taking a shower and getting ready for class when I heard the shower door open and close. The next thing I knew, I felt lips and hands on me.
"Jake!" I groaned.
"Don't worry, it will be a quickie," Jake said in a husky voice. A quickie it was. We finally got out of the shower and dressed.
"So, I was thinking, we might need a bigger place, especially when baby two shows up," Jake said to me.
"Well, we still have the house," I said as I dressed.
He looked at me.
"I know we would sell it, but then you dying took a back burner to that. Then I had to grieve, then I was dealing with Erik," I said, listing all the reasons the house never got sold. He looked at me and arched an eyebrow. "What?"
"You're something else," he chuckled.
"Sorry I was busy." I shrugged.
He walked over and wrapped his arms around my waist. "How about after class, we take a ride over there and check out the house? To make sure it's still intact."
I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Sounds good to me." We leaned in and kissed, which started to get heated until I stopped him. He let out a groan of frustration.
"Come on, Alex. It was getting to the good part!" Jake exclaimed.
"I will be late for class. We can continue this later," I said with a look before giving Jake a quick peck and walking out of the bedroom.
He looked down. "Down boy. We'll have some fun later."
I walked out, and my heart dropped. The door was open, and Jacob's gone. I ran to the door only stopped by Erik carrying Jacob.
"Oh, thank god," I sighed as I took Jacob from Erik.
"I see little man made the great escape," Erik said to me.
"Unfortunately," I sighed. I was going to have to put a higher lock on the door. Did it matter if we were moving, anyway?
"So, why are you up so early?" I said, handing Jacob to Jake.
"I was on my way to meet Gloria for breakfast," Erik mentioned.
"Are things going well?" I asked.
"I think so. We see where things go," Erik said nonchalantly. Erik wasn't big on sharing information and it took him a while to even share with me. I let it go.
"I'll see you later, and I will see you later, little man. Be good," Erik said to Jacob.
"Bye-bye," Jacob said as he waved.
Erik left, and I kissed both Jacob and Jake so that I could head to class. I had a feeling this was going to be a crazy pregnancy.
Jake
After Alex left, I looked at Jacob. "How about breakfast then the beach?" Jacob nodded as I fixed him some breakfast.
After we finished, I took Jacob to the beach. It was a father and son outing. We made our way to the beach, and I played with him for a while before I had someone take a picture of us. They captured me, throwing Jacob in the air.
Then I sent it to Alex and told her to meet us when her class finished. I put my phone away as I continued to play with Jacob when two girls approached me.
"Nothing is sexier than a man with a child," one said to me.
"Um, thanks," I said, not paying attention to her.
"So, what's your name?" The girl asked.
"Dad," I said abruptly.
"So, I can call you Daddy," she asked, trying to sound sexy, which I had no interest.
She tried to get my attention as I was trying to focus on Jacob. Then the other girl took Jacob's hand.
"Excuse me, let go of my son," I ordered.
"It's okay. I'll monitor the kid while you and my friend have some fun," the other girl smirked while trying to lead Jacob away from me. The other girl kept placing her hands on me while I kept removing them. It was so not going to end well.
Then I heard someone say, "Get your damn hands off my son!" I looked to see Alex, who stormed over and smacked the girl that had Jacob and picked up Jacob. She walked back over to the other girl and me.
I stared at her as she handed Jacob to me. "Here." Then she punched the other girl right in the nose.
"Ow, my nose! You bitch!" The girl barked.
"You deserve it," Alex barked. Whoa, I have never seen Alex like this. It was a massive turn on to me.
"I will call the police!" The girl yelled.
"Go ahead, then I can have them charge you both with kidnapping a child," Alex scoffed as they scampered off. She rolled her eyes. "I can't leave you two alone for two minutes, can I?" Alex asked me.
"Well, I'm my defense. I came to spend time with Jacob, not some hoes," I replied.
"In your defense, you better make sure no hoe takes off with our son again," Alex retorted.
"Duly noted," I said with a look.
She looked at Jacob. "Do you want some ice cream?" He nodded.
"I want some ice cream," I chimed.
"Oh?" Alex gave me a look.
"Please, with sugar on top and a cherry since well, you popped mine a while ago," I smirked.
"About that, when I popped your cherry, you gave me, him," Alex pointed to Jacob, "so that makes us even."
I so would not win this argument.
"Hmm, guess you're right," I sighed.
She looked at me and rolled her eyes. "Okay, fine, you can get ice cream, too."
"Yay!" I said, causing her to laugh. I can't help it that I'm a big kid at heart.
Alex
We had an ice cream then went back to the apartment so that Jake could change, and I could clean up Jacob, then we left to check out the house.
We pulled up to it.
We got out of the car and walked up to it. It still looked the same. I handed Jake the key, and he opened the door. He set Jacob down, who ran around inside the house. We walked around, pulling sheets off everything. It had been so long since I stepped foot in this house.
Once we got all the sheets removed, we looked around, showing Jacob everything. Our room was on the main floor, and there were six bedrooms on the second floor, along with a master bedroom bath and two bathrooms on the second floor.
We stood there, "Well," Jake asked me.
"It's our house. We only moved to the apartment because of your brother and Frank. Since Frank is no longer a threat and we haven't heard from Brendan, I say we move back," I shrugged.
"I agree, oh, and Brendan is not my brother. That family isn't my family. You and Jacob are along with this little one on the way," Jake said, placing his hand on my stomach. I couldn't help but smile. I loved the sound of that, his family.
We moved back to the house and got some help in doing so with our friends. We would also find out someone was expecting too. I had a feeling babies would arrive this year.
