Destroy the Moon! All the Villagers are Monsters?

"Well, we found the village. Now what?" Gray examined the wall around the village.

"Check out that gate, when they say 'keep out' they mean it." Natsu said,

"Anyone home! We're here to help you!" Lucy put her hands around her mouth to make her voice louder.

"Let's bust in." Natsu smirked,

"Baka!" Liz smacked the back of his head.

"Who goes there?" A guard said,

"We're wizards from Fairy Tail, responding to your request!" Lucy yelled proudly.

"Why weren't we notified when you accepted the job?"

"Well, uh. . ." Liz cut the blonde off.

"Sorry, it was probably a mix up with the paperwork." Liz shrugged, and looked at Lucy. "You gotta come up with excuses fast, Lucy. I learned that on the streets."

"Then let me see your emblems!" Another guard demanded. Natsu showed his mark on his upper arm, as Happy did his back, Lucy held her hand up, just as Elizabeth did the purple one on her left wrist, and Gray held his shirt up. "They're here. They're really here!"

The gate lifted, and they walked through.

"It's like walking into a giant monster's mouth!" Happy smiled,

"Are you trying to freak me out?" Lucy yelled at the cat, and Liz sighed.

"I'm Moka the village chief, on behalf of everyone here, we welcome you. Pleasantries aside, there's something you need to see." The chief said, and everyone dropped their capes.

"It's like what happened to that guy on the boat." Gray said,

"Yeah." Liz agreed.

"Oh, wow, your sideburns!" Natsu's eyes popped out of his head when he was the ridiculously long sideburns of the chief.

"Not that, I was trying to show you what happened to my arm. Everyone on this island has suffered horrible disfigurement of this curse. Even the animals are affected."

"Please excuse me for asking, but what makes you think it's a curse, sir?" Liz asked, "if could be some kind of infectious disease."

"We've consulted with dozens of doctors, young girl. But they all agree that no such diseases exists. You see, the symptoms began around the time when the moon fell under an evil spell."

Evil spell? What the hell? Liz rose her eyebrow.

"What kind of spell?" Lucy asked,

"Since ancient times, this island has absorbed the light of the moon causing it to glow as beautifully as the moon itself. However, the moon's color began to change. And an eerie purple glow was cast upon the island."

"So the moon turned purple?" Natsu asked,

"Look, it's coming out from behind the clouds." Happy pointed to the sky.
