"Where's Gray?" Ashtyn asked, realizing the ice mage wasn't in the guild, like he usually was. "I'm suppose to be going on a job with him, did he already leave?"

"Gray hasn't come in today or yesterday. I don't even think he did the day before that." Mirajane shrugged, and continued wiping the counters down.

"It's that time of year again." Elizabeth sighed, leaning her cheek into her palm.

"What do you mean, Liz?" Levy asked from beside the girl with pink hair.

"Every year, around the same time, Gray always locks himself in his house and doesn't come out for two weeks, sometimes even longer." Liz explained, "I don't know why, he's never told me."

"I wonder why. Maybe something happened around this time a few years ago?" Levy wondered out loud.

"That's it, where's the pink-headed idiot? I'm going to search for Gray." Liz declared, jumping out of her seat.

"He's off with Lisanna again." The Yuuki brother informed his sister.

"Damn."

"Oh, I've written his address down. In case of emergencies." Mira had taken out a little notepad, and said Gray's address out loud.

"I know where that is, I live near there. Thanks, Mira!" And off Liz went.

"Anytime!"

Gray's house was a medium-sized house. Not too big, but it wasn't small.

"Gray, open up right now!" The sixteen-year-old girl banged on her friend's front door. "Before people start to think I'm insane!" No answer. "Gray, I know you're in there, open!" Still, Gray didn't budge. "Gray, please open up. I just wanna talk." She sighed, putting her forehead on the door. Silence. "Damnit, I'm coming in!" She walked away from the door, and to a window. She lifted it up, and crawled in, landing on the couch.

Nice house, he keeps it tidy. The living room and kitchen were nice. Not bad, not at all. Liz sneaked her way upstairs, and into the room on the right. She knocked.

"Go away." Elizabeth didn't listen, and came in anyways. "I said to leave me alone."

Gray's room was a light-blue color, with his drawers a darker blue. Nice room, too. Gray sat on his bed, on his knees, hugging an object to his chest.

"Well, you know I never listen. Why are you locked up in your room?"

"I just wanna be left alone, please, Elizabeth." Gray looked at her.

It shocked her to see his eyes were red. He's been crying.

"Gray!" She jumped on the bed, engulfing him in a hug. "Please tell me what's wrong. If you can't do that, at least let me be here for you. Gray, you're one of my closes friends, I hate seeing you this way. I wanna be here for you, please don't shut me out."
