*JACE'S POV*

"There's no way I could have done this." I look at the floor then straight up to Ben.

"Ben I swear someone is fucking with us or somethin, and who's brilliant idea to let all of these random people in!? I stood up from my chair and went to look at the window.

"I know Jace, don't you think I know that from the start of the mess! I know deep down you think everything is fine! Have you even asked yourself where the hell is Mia? Or where's Ava?! We both know they ain't in your whiskey!" We both stand in the same room with silence and I wasn't looking at him.

Seconds after that Ben left the office leaving me like a coward. I need to find out where Mia is.

*YOUNG MALE ADULT'S POV*

" It's currently 9:01am,
I have worked on this case all night with no sleep and with hardly any coffee to help me stay awake. I almost have the results about the condom sample just 15 more hours to go.

*three hours later*

I wake up to a glass breaking noise in the other room. Without trying to make any noise I grab my bat from the side of the door and run towards that bastard. Before I could even hit him, someone put something sharp in my shoulder while hissing at the pain and before I blacked out I saw two men stealing the results.

That was it...

Everything went dark.

*BEN'S POV*

Seconds after, me leaving the office I just needed to get this situation a break from the stress building up on my shoulders.

Hope the me leaving without permission would probably be the best opinion before he starts to put a bullet in my head.

*ring*

My phone buzzes which obviously makes me answer it.

"Hello." I said

"Ben, two men! Actually one men stole the results! Probably the ones who don't us to figure out about it!" He sounded like he was gonna have a panic attack.

"Ruban calm down! What happened?!"

"THEY STOLE EVERYTHING! THEY'RE BEHIND STACEY'S DEATH AND WHY JACE THREW UP! Who else knew about this!? Wasn't it you, Jacw , other men of Jace's and me!"

"Ruban I'm on my way." I said. Ending the call I run and told Jace everything.

After telling Jace about the Ruban and the situation he got very suspicious and started putting all of the pieces together into why Mia left, how Ava got kidnapped under my watch and why someone wanted to kill the girl who must've did what she did and knew the cost.

This may be short but doesn't matter we were the smartest gang in the whole country.

Jace and I are kinda over the few hour silent treatment but I know deep down he'll still blame me for everything that has happened and I don't blame him.

An hour later Jace and I got to Ruban's Lab where we found everything It was all full of glass.

"Is there anything you found out before they broke in?" Jace said.
