*Angel's POV*

I really hope taking Mia to this party will take her mind off of things like her dad, stepmother, depression, blah. blah. Mia and I get in the car driving to my house. Sometimes, I wish Mia had a normal life where her mother didn't die, or her dad not an addict dating a slut of a women, that's Mia's stepmother.

When I look at the passenger's seat, Mia stares happily at her dress. It may look a bit hoe-ish, but she doesn't seem to mind that I thought she would. I can't wait to see her try on the dress again, especially with make-up and jewelry on. Putting the keys in the key engine, the car purrs. Mia grabs my phone to hook it up to the car's speaker.

As a good drive, a try to not look at my phone. The song Mia plays is totally unexpected coming from her taste in music.

I hear, "Feelin' myself, I'm feelin' myself. I'm feelin' my, feelin' myself." through the car speakers.

Oh Shit.

"Mia!" This song surprises me big time.

"What?" She laughs. Did she seriously just answer me with a "What?" Oh, nothing. I'm just surprised that you pick this song.

"Feeling myself by Nicki Minaj," plays two times on the way to my house. One more song later, we are at my house. I turned off the car, open and closed the car door and walked inside of my house to see Mia already in my room. "How did you get here so fast?" I laugh.

"Well. You were staring at your lock screen on your phone. What was that all about anyway?" I was? I don't even remember grabbing my phone when I turned the car off. I watch as Mia touches the jewelry on my dresser.

"Get you butt over here with hair things, so I can do your hair." Mia wants to do my hair and in return I'll do hers.

"Coming!" I shout. As I am going into the bathroom, I see Mia putting her hand above the curling iron to see if its hot or not. I made sure the toilet seat was down, so I could sit down while Mia curls my hair.

"We might have to take a cab to get there." I say as I start to pull my phone out to find a cab.

"Why?" Mia says with a confused look while curling pieces of my hair.

"Because I might get drunk." Laughing really loud at the humor of it.

"Okay done!" Mia sets the curling iron on the sink counter taking in her masterpiece.

"Wow." I look in the mirror and see at how well done she did my hair. "I look amazing! Thank you, Mia!" I smiled and hugged her.

She giggles. "No problem!"

"So what are you going to do with your hair?" I ask her.

She breaks out of my hug giving me an answer. "I think I'm going to use your shower and make my hair wavy if that's okay? And is it okay if I use your shower?" She asks.

Yes. Of course, you can!" I go to back to hugging her.

"Okay, then I'll find a towel and you better be out before I come back," she chuckles smiles again. It's very rare to see her smile and I love it.

"Yeah yeah," I say with a giggle. I decide to get ready putting make-up on and the dress and shoes I bought today.

Once Mia was out of the shower, she blow drys her hair and puts hair spray in so the waves wouldn't fade away during the party. I made sure to put he things on the bed since she put them where they would wrinkle. After putting some light make-up on, she finally puts the lace dress and heels on. She refused to wear any jewelry on because she thinks she'll "lose it" till I told her I would pay me back for the dress and heels if she didn't put a necklace on. When she finally gives in, I grab the necklace to put on her neck; It's a simple gold heart necklace that's meant for black dresses like hers. To finish the look she surprises me again to ask for some gold hoop earrings.

And for me, I put my dress on and heels. I didn't want to put any jewelry on because I was afraid to lose them because I plan on doing things with a certain someone tonight.

"Ready?" I say and hear Mia giggle.

"Alright then." I called a cab, told the driver where we wanted to go, and paid him. At 7:58 p.m. We were already there; we aren't the only ones that got here early because the party started at 8 p.m.

"Nervous?" I ask Mia.

"Kinda. I'm ready to live!" She shouts. I chuckle at her comment and open the huge door and closed it behind us.

May this night be the night Mia needs.
