Donald touched down at the ruins of Tenochtitlan. He saw one tree sitting in the middle of the ruins with a single golden cacao pod growing on it. He walked up to it and casually put it in his pocket. He started to walk away, but suddenly the ground trembled. A voice suddenly sounded throughout the entire ruins. Donald was unable to understand the voice, so he shrugged and continued walking. It sounded louder, but once again he ignored the voice. Finally, the voice gave one more shout, this time as loud as possible. Donald covered his ears and crouched. “WHO KEEPS DOING THAT?” he yelled out in exasperation.
“Oh, sorry, I thought you would understand the elder tongue. You foolish mortals and your inability to speak clearly.”
“I... uh... who?” Donald looked around, trying to find who was speaking.
“I am the Red Smoking Mirror, the Night Drinker, the Flayed One. I am the Red Tezcatlipoca. I am Xipe Totec.”
“Oh, you’re the dude with the chocolate? Thanks bro.” The cacao pod suddenly disappeared from Donald’s pocket and dissolved into thin air.
“You have not done the ceremony. You have not proved your worth. You cannot take the cacao.”
“But... I’m in love with the cocoa...... Alright, Xipe Totec. I shall do the ceremony.” A boom box suddenly appeared out of the earth, along with a microphone. A familiar beat began to play. "Peanut butter, chocolate, great when separate but when they combine they make the morning time epic.” He dabbed as he said the last part, holding the pose for several seconds.
“Well done.” The cocoa pod had materialized back onto the tree and opened up. A book of coupons dropped out of the pod. “There is a prize worth more than the cacao. Partake of it and be merry.” Donald stooped over to pick up the book and paused to nod his thanks towards the earth. He turned around and embodied his school spirit once more to fly back to the United States for the last item: marshmallows.
