The Life Of A Teen

Chapter 6

Staying in here for too long will give you a headache.There's just too much drama to handle in one room.

On my way out,a girl I recognize from Science class,her name's Gina,says something under her breath.

Her comment was, "the bigger the hoop...the bigger the..."I exit before she could even finish her childish remark that I didn't ask for.I'm avoiding drama at all costs today.

I've only been here for like...10min and I'm already hungry.(sigh)I'll just grab something to eat in the cafeteria before jogging my way to class.I have a feeling I'm going to be late...even though it's only the first day.

Food is legit an important part of my life,it's all I ever think about.If it ever so happens whereas I have to sacrifice getting detention for a chicken burger...I'll do it any day.

I'm walking down the hall,and like every other normal teenager...my face is glued to my phone's screen.The text that caught my eye first,was a text from my good friend Carlos,it read:
*Hey Sam,where you at?*
I'm tired of walking alone,so I reply him back with a:
*Sup.Im in the cafeteria,meet me here in 2min.*Immediately after replying him,I start making my way to my supposed destination.

You see...the funny thing about people is,we will lie about being at a certain destination already,just so that the other person is on time,and so we don't have to wait for them.

I meet up with Carlos,and just as I thought...Jade's here too.Her and Carlos are together so...I figured she'd come too,that's why I didn't bother texting her.

*Trrrrring trrrring*

"Alright guys,what are we buying real quick?"
They both look at me and smile,I gave them each a short glare along with a smile.Them smiling at me was code for,chicken burgers. 

We patiently wait for Maria,the lunch lady,to pack our burgers for us neatly in packages.
Once we each receive our burgers,Carlos and Jade run out the cafeteria faster than...well...fast,in order to get to class asap,but me...well,I don't really care so I'm going to take my time.I'm also going to eat my burger on my way there.I'm not in the mood for history anyways.
