Day of questions

•Garnet's pov:
I saw Y/N trip and I caught her with ease. I held her  stomach and my chest was against
Y/N's back. I don't know what happened, but soon I had 4 eyes and 2 extra arms. I looked down at my body and noticed a red tank top on top of my suit, and on my legs were the jeggings Y/N was currently wearing. I heard a voice in my head and I instantly knew it was  Y/N. I looked down at my body again and was shocked. I just fused with a human, a human. How is that possible? I know Steven can fuse with Connie because Steven is a half gem, but Y/N doesn't have a gem. I kept asking questions and I heard a pop and soon I was on the ground. I looked over at Y/N and I saw a panicked look on her face.
"What just happened?" Y/N asked me sounding worried.
"How did you do that?" I blurted out loud at  Y/N and she seemed so confused. She looked at her hands and then back at me.
"I....I don't know, but it was great! I didn't doubt myself anymore and I felt awesome! I also had a third eye and I was so tall! Did you see how many arms we had?!" I laughed at     Y/N's rambling and I thought about it. I've fused with Pearl and Amethyst before and we had 4 or more arms when we would fuse. But with Y/N it was completely different. Me of all gems fused with a human, I didn't even think it was possible.
"Y/N do you want to come back to the temple with me?" I ask Y/N and she shakes her head. I slightly frown but I nod my head in understand met.
"Can we fuse one more time to see if that was real?" I hear Y/N ask and I looked at her in the eye and I nodded. I stood up and offered Y/N a hand. Y/N took the offer and flashed me a smile. I pulled her up and I held her hands. I placed one hand on Y/N's back and one on her shoulder. She placed her hands on my hips and she turned us and we just spun around. I then dipped Y/N down and I kissed her on the cheek and then, it happened. I was taller and had 2 extra arms and Y/N's clothes back on. I smiled and I heard Y/N's voice in my head. When we fused though  I felt Y/N's insecurity's and I didn't like it, I did like how when we fuse I make her feel better and she doesn't doubt herself.
•Y/N's pov:
We danced outside of my house and Garnet dipped me down and kissed  me on my cheek. I chuckle and before I know it, I have 2 extra arms and a third eye. I look at my bottom arms and can tell that's the me part and the top are Garnet's arms. I then see my red tank top again and I see my blue jeggings. I then hear a pop and I fall on the ground. I look across from me and see a smiling Garnet. I stand up and I offer my hand. She politely declines and she gets up by herself. I scratch the back of my neck and we just stand there awkwardly. A question then pops in my head.
"Can I fuse with anyone else?" I ask Garnet and she smirks at my question.
"There's only one way to find out!" Garnet yelled at me and pulled my arm. I didn't say anything, knowing she was headed towards the temple. I walked beside her until we reach the house. Garnet walks up the stairs first and I soon follow. Once we're at the top Garnet opens the screen door and everyone looks at us.
"Y/N, why are you back so suddenly?" Pearl asks me.
"I have some news." Garnet told everyone. Garnet turned around and faced me. She placed one hand on my hip and one hand on my shoulder. I place my hands on her hips and we start to dance. We twirl and Garnet dips and down, before I know it i'm taller and have 2 extra arms again. We look forward and see shocked expressions on their faces. We laugh as everyone's haws drop. I wave my arms at the bottom as to say hello. Steven waves back at us with a weird expression.
"How. In. The. World. Is. This. Possible?" Pearl asks us and our fusion  just shrugs.
"Hi everyone. Umm, we ourselves don't understand how this is possible Y/N tripped and I caught her and before we knew it we fused. It's crazy I know but it feels great, i've never fused before and I wanted to know what it felt like and now I do. Isn't this awesome?!" Parts of me speak and parts of Garnet speak. I listened to our voice and it was soft and sweet.
"Y/N do you have a gem?" Amethyst stood up from her stool  and looked at our new fusion. She looked up at us, with a confused look. Part of me shook my head and Amethyst just nodded.
"I don't have a gem and no one in my family have one. At least I don't think anyone had a gem. I don't know how this is possible. I'd love to find out if I can fuse with anyone else." I tell everyone.
"No! I mean, no I know you fused with me but I don't think this is a good idea. With you and me fused I can see the paths about you again. I see nothing but trouble." The Garnet part of our fusion speaks.
"I want to know if I can only fuse with you or if I can fuse with other gems Garnet. I can see those paths too. I just need to know!" I yell at myself and I see everyone looking at us scared and I hear a pop and i'm on the ground. I look across the floor and see an upset Garnet. I stand up and head out the screen door. I slam it behind me and I run down the stairs. I feel a tear roll down my cheek and I run towards the ocean where I first met Garnet and the rest of the crystal gems. I wrap my arms around my knees and I silently cry into my knees.
"Y/N!" I hear Steven yell my name but I just ignore him. I keep my head down in hopes he won't see me in the dark.
"Y/N! Where are you?!" I hear Steven yell out my name again. Before I know it I hear the sand crunching as Steven walks towards me. I don't budge and I just stay still.
"Y/N?" I hear Steven say my name again but he sounds concerned. I then feel Steven sit next to me and he touches my back.
"Y/N are you upset because of Garnet?" Steven asks me and all I do is nod my head.
"Y/N, she just-" steven begins but I cut him off.
"She what? Wants to keep me for herself?! This is so new to me and she doesn't want to experiment?! She said so herself, no gem has fused with a human, but I have! She doesn't want to see if I can fuse with anyone else! She just wants to keep me for herself and for what?! It's so stupid Steven, I want to find out what I can do but she's being selfish! What about what I want?! I like Garnet but now she's just turned into my mother. My mom always made me do what she wanted me to do, I had no say in the matter." I pull my head up and look at Steven. He looks sorrowful, but he also looks like he understands. He wraps his arms around me and gives me a hug.
"Y/N I know what your going through. The gems want me to be like my mom and expect me to follow in her footsteps. You telling that stuff to me today at training, it made me feel better. You are your own person, Garnet just wants to protect you. Your the first person she's liked. Ruby and Sapphire love eachother so much and they've never liked someone before. They are a relationship and they don't need anyone else. Then you came along and now they like you. That stuff she told you yesterday was something she just doesn't tell anyone. I didn't even know Garnet was a fusion until she got zapped with a weird wand that split her in half, a gem named Jasper poofed Garnet. So when Pearl talked about that she was surprised that Garnet told you about Ruby and Sapphire, there was a reason to be shocked. Even if you don't think she does, Garnet likes you. She like likes you. Now will you come back to the temple with me?" I looked at Steven and he stood up and reached out a hand. I took his hand and he helped me up. I gave him a smile and he just smiled back. We walked a little bit but I had to get something off my chest.
"Hey Steven?" I asked Steven and he turned his head and smiled at me.
"Do you remember when I said Lars wasn't my type? Well my type is...." I looked at Steven and he patted my back.
"It's okay you can tell me." Steven tells me and I breath in and I breath out.
"I don't like guys, I like girls." I tell Steven and he stops. I give him a worried look and he just smiles.
"That's great! Garnet only likes girls too, one time there was this guy named Jamie, he's my mail man, and he liked Garnet but she was like 'No.' Jamie was so sad, but Connie and I made him feel better. Garnet doesn't like guys, your probably the first person to tickle Garnet's fancy." Steven rants on about Garnet and when he reaches the end of his rant he moves his fingers and I can't help but laugh. Steven smiles at me and we keep walking. Since my secret is out I look at Steven, with a question in mind.
"Steven, are you and Connie dating? You guys seem really close." I tell Steven and he looks at me with a blush on his face. I chuckle and Steven puffs his cheeks.
"No we aren't dating, but I really like her. She's smart, kind, and doesn't think that i'm weird. I just don't know if she feels the same way." Steven tells me and I frown. I crouch down and I put my hands on each of his shoulders and I look into his eyes.
"Steven, I know she likes you. I see the way she looks at you. Maybe you should talk to her, even if you broke up she seems to be the person to understand and still hangout with you." I tell Steven and he nods his head.
"Do you really think so?" Steven asked me and I just nodded my head. Steven smiled and I stood up and took his hand. We kept walking until I saw the temple. Steven ran up to the stairs and ran up. He opened the door and slammed it behind him. I walk up the hill until I reach the stairs. I slowly walk up the stairs and I sit down on the stairs in the middle. I listen to Steven talk to the gems for awhile.
"Hey Connie?" I heard Steven ask, and I heard a soft hum.
"Connie, i've liked you for awhile now and someone said that you might like me. So Connie, will you be my jam and i'll be the biscuit?" I heard Steven ask Connie and I was slightly confused.
"Of course! I've been waiting for you to ask me!" I hear Connie yell and I chuckle. I heard Amethyst say an unamused 'awe' and I then heard some clapping. I guess I was right about Connie, but hopefully Steven's right about Garnet. As I think this I hear Steven start to talk again.
"Hey Garnet, I talked to Y/N and she was upset. She likes you and you made her feel like you were controlling her. Y/N really wants to find out if she can fuse with someone else, and she thinks you won't let that happen. I know you like her too, but don't let that liking of her be the reason she hates you. Just, let her do it?" I hear Steven ask Garnet and then it's silent. I hear footsteps and then I hear the screen door open.
"Hey." I hear Garnet tell me and I turn around. I give her a wave and she walks down the stairs and soon enough she's sitting next to me.
"I'm sorry Y/N. I...I just wanted you to be with me, as a fusion. I want to keep you to myself because this has never happened before in gem history. I know you want to experiment, I would too, it's just if you fuse with Amethyst she has self doubt and so do you. It just seems like a bad idea, sometimes a fusion can be unstable. With me I don't really doubt myself, I love myself! If you fuse with Pearl, well I don't know what will happen with Pearl. I just don't want to see you, someone's who's precious, die or get hurt. I feel like I need to protect you, and when we fuse I know I can protect you." Garnet keeps rambling and I hug her. I wrap my arms around her and hug her tight. Even though i've only known her for 2 days, I feel like i've known her for years. She soon hugs me back and I whisper in her ear.
"Maybe if we fuse, you can tell what my fusion with Pearl will be like." I whisper in her ear and I can't help but feel like she's smirking. I pull away and I stand up, I look down at her and I offer my hand. She takes my hand and she then stands tall. Garnet grabs my right hand and she leans me down the stairs and I feel like i'm falling backwards. I still hold her hand and she holds mine, but she's dangling me over the steps. I then look down and see  that if I fell, I would definitely get hurt. I look back and Garnet and she smirks. She brings me back close to her and she throws me in the air. I hold my arms out and I feel like i'm flying, and once I get lower I feel Garnet catch me. Once she catches me, I realize i'm in a cradling position. She kisses my forehead and throws me back in the air. This time is higher up and I can't help but let out a terrified scream. I fall back towards the ground and Garnet catches me and soon enough I am taller and I have a third eye a again. I look down at the ground and I see into the future with my future vision. I see multiple paths, but the one that sticks is my fusion with Pearl is a healthy one. I feel Garnet grow jealous and I tell her it's fine. One path leads to Pearl getting to excited about fusing with a human, than she shows off. That path would lead to Pearl always wanting to take Y/N and ask her to fuse. I hear a pop and soon Garnet has me dipped down on the stairs. I look up at her and see her bright smile. Garnet pulls me up and places me on the stairs.
"We should head in." I tell Garnet and she just nods. I walk towards the screen door and I open it slowly. I walk in and Garnet soon follows after me.
"Your back? I thought you went home." I hear Amethyst say and I just smile. I sit on a stool next to Pearl and I look at Steven and Connie. I notice them holding hands and I smile.
"Hey Pearl, what do you think i'll be like when I get better at training?" I ask Pearl and she turns her head to look at me.
"Oh, well you could join us on missions and help protect the Earth, or while we're on a mission you can stay behind and watch over Beach city." Pearl tells me simply and I just nod. I look at Garnet and see her heading to the door where she came out of this morning. I stand up from the chair and I follow Garnet.
"Hey Garnet, can I sleep over tonight? I'm quite tired and it's really dark out." I trail on with my rambling, but my ramblings are just excuses. Garnet nods her head and opens her mouth.
"I don't know where you can sleep, I mean Steven has his bed and Connie will probably sleep on the couch. So you can bunk on the floor." Garnet tells me and I frown. Then a question pops in my head.
"Can I sleep with you?" I ask Garnet and her cheeks get a little bit darker. I just chuckle and see Connie heading to the bathroom, holding a baggy containing a toothbrush and toothpaste.
"If you really want to sleep with me you can." Garnet tells me and I just nod. Garnet holds her hands to the door and it quickly opens, I turn around and face everyone.
"Goodnight everyone." I simply say it and wave and soon I step into Garnet's room. Garnet puts her hands to her head and a small bedroom appears out of no where. I see a queen sized bed with a duvet and sheets against the wall. On the ceiling I see a 5 bladed fan and I quickly look at Garnet.
"How did this just pop up?" I ask Garnet and she points at her head.
"Whatever I think of and I want, it pops up. You said you were tired so I thought of a bed." I just nod and I walk towards the fan. I pull the string hanging and pull it until it gets to the high setting. Once the fan is on the setting I want it to be on I walk to the bed. I pull up the covers and I slip under them. I turn to look at Garnet and I see her standing there awkwardly. I pat the spot on the bed next to me and soon she walks over. She pulls up the covers and slips under them just like I did, and I hug her. I then lay down on the bed and I face Garnet. I cuddle Garnet and she just hugs me. I kiss Garnet's nose and she moves her hand up to her goggles and she simply waves her hand infront of them. Before I know it, I see 3 eyes looking back at me. I smile and I hide my face in her chest.
"Y/N, do you actually like me?" Garnet asks me and I pull my face out of her chest and I look her in the eyes. I nod my head and I open my mouth.
"Today's a  day of questions for you." I tell Garnet and she just chuckles.
"Garnet can you turn the lights off? They're keeping me up." I tell Garnet and she quickly turns the lights off with her mind. At first it was dark but after a few second my eyes adjusted. I put my face back in Garnets chest and I muffle a goodnight. I hear Garnet chuckle and her chest vibrates.
"Goodnight Y/N." Those are the last words I hear before I fall into a deep sleep.
