Anything Can Happen

It should've been great

•Garnet's pov:
Peridot and Pearl write on the chalk board, making a diagram of what the ship will look like. I hear loud noises behind me and I see Steven and Amethyst banging a sheet of metal. I sigh, we've only been doing this for a few hours and i'm already tired of that annoying noise of metal on metal. I look over at Connie and see her talking on her phone. She grumbles something under her breath and she walks over to Steven. She whispers something in his ear and he nods his head.
"Guys I need to go. Can someone walk me to Mr. Universe?" She asks and I nod my head.
"I'll walk you Connie, I need to talk to Greg anyway. Steven do you want to come with?" I ask Steven but he shakes his head.
"Connie, hugs!" Steven yells and Connie chuckles. Connie walks over to Steven and she gives him a hug. They pat eachothers backs and Connie walks back towards me.
"I'm ready Garnet!" Connie tells me and I ruffle her hair. She smiles and I lead her to Greg's. It takes us a few minutes but we soon reach Greg's car wash. I don't see Greg anywhere but I have a feeling he'a asleep in the van. I walk over to the van and I pound on the side of van. I hear some shuffling and soon the back doors swing open, they almost hit Connie but I grab her in time.
"Oh, Connie i'm sorry I didn't mean to almost hit you. Good thing Garnet was here. I'd be guessing you want me to drop you off at your parents?" Greg says scratching his neck. Connie nods her head and she walks to the passenger seat. Greg walks over to the drivers seat and he starts up the van. I jump in the back and Greg looks at me through the rear view mirror.
"Garnet you want to come?" Greg asks and I just nod my head. He sighs and starts to drive.
"So Connie how was your day?" Greg asks and she looks timid.
"Well.... Y/N was taken by the diamonds. She chose to be Yellow diamonds slave forever, she did it to protect the Earth. She's a hero, but at what cost? She'll be suffering for awhile until we save her." Connie tells Greg and he turns white.
"Y/N?! Is it the Y/N I met on the beach 2 years ago?" Greg asked, very concerned. Connie shrugs her shoulder and I sigh.
"Yes it's that Y/N, Greg." I tell Greg. To be honest i'm angry. I knew Yellow and Blue diamond were coming but yet I did nothing. If I told her to stay at the temple she would be here, with me. It could've been great. We could have told the diamonds to leave or.....Or something. She could still be here instead of being Yellow diamonds servant. The rest of the drive is quiet, it's not a bad silence or a good silence. We  reach Connie's house and Greg pulls over.
"Goodbye Mr. Universe, goodbye Garnet!" Connie steps out of the van and waves in our direction. Greg waves back and turns towards me.
"Garnet. I'm sorry about Y/N. I have a feeling you took a liking to her. I know I did, she reminded me so much of Rose. Y/N had that same look in her eye that Rose had. She was nice and sweet, I know you'll get her back Garnet." Greg tells me. I look him in the eyes and I start to cry. Tears roll down my face and Greg's face is shocked.
"I didn't get to tell her I love her. She told me before that she would have killed herself if she didn't think about seeing her mom again. What if she gives up on me? What if she gives up on life?" I ask as tears keep rolling down my face.
"Garnet, I don't think she'll give up on you. I have a feeling she knows you love her. Even if you don't say those words to her, she can still tell from your actions. I don't quite know what's going on, but even if she can't see you she has memories in her head and her heart. And you have those memories too!" Greg tells me and I nod. I whip away my tears.
"Thanks Greg. Even if you can't fight with us your still there to talk to." I tell Greg and he has a weird look on his face.
"Why do the gems need Y/N?" Greg asks me and I look at him again.
"They need her because she's special. She can fuse with gems, she can put her hand inside of lions mane. I don't know if she can do even more things, I just met her a few days ago." I tell Greg and he looks shocked.
"She can fuse?!" Greg asks me and I chuckle.
"Surprisingly she can. She's fused with Pearl and I. She doubts herself so much though, what Yellow diamond did to her was terrible. I need to get her before she does something stupid." I tell Greg and it seems an idea pops in his head.
"If she's so important they won't kill her! You don't have to worry about them killing her, she'll survive." Greg tells me with hope in his eyes. I frown.
"They can still hurt her. Yellow diamond is ruthless, she could do anything. Even if they don't kill her, I don't know what Y/N will do. She could do absolutely anything." I tell Greg and he nods his head. He starts up the car and we drive back to the car wash. It's silent in the car but it's a nice silence, it's comfortable. We reach the car wash but we keep driving. We drive over to the barn and Greg parks.
"Thanks for talking with me Greg, we can talk later." I tell Greg and I step out of the back. I start to close it but Greg speaks.
"I hope you get her." He tells me and he shows me a smile. I smile back and I close the doors. The van starts back up and he drives off. I wave and once he's out of sight I turn around and see Steven passed out on the ground. I see Amethyst still hitting a different colored metal sheet and then I see Pearl and Peridot talking about what the shape of the ship should look like. I chuckle and I walk over to Steven. I pick him up and I start to walk towards the temple. I start to leave but I hear Pearl's voice.
"Are you taking Steven back to the temple?" Pearl asks and I simply nod my head. I turn back around and I begin to walk. It takes me a little bit but I walk up to the door of the temple and I open it. I close it behind me and I walk up the stairs up to his bed. I place him carefully on the bed and I pull the covers over him.
"Garnet? Will we save Y/N?" Steven asks me groggily.
"Yes, Steven i'll die trying to get her back." I tell him and he holds up his pinky.
"Do you promise to let us help you?" I hook my pinky with his and I smile.
"I promise." I tell him. He smiles and he closes his eyes. I soon hear him snore, I chuckle and I head to my room. I place my hands in front of the door and it soon opens. I think of the multiple solar systems and soon it pop in front of me. I watch the solar systems move, as I watch it I think of the bracelet I gave Y/N. Hopefully she's found out the surprise.
•Y/N's pov:
"Can the Amethyst's stay behind and also the first Jasper I met?" I ask out loud. I hear some 'yes's' from the crowd and I smile. The other gems I didn't want to stay behind walked towards the door and leave. The only gems left are the Amethysts and Jasper.
"So I wanted you to stay behind because I need to ask you guys a favor." I tell everyone and they just nod.
"Amethysts can you practice summoning your weapons? I'd like to see you guys try." I tell everyone and some people say yes.
"Can the Amethysts that said yes please step forward?" I ask them and only a few step forwards. The ones that do I ask them to stand in a line.
"Alright, now that your in a line i'd like to see you try to summon your weapons. Just think about a black whip with purple triangles on the sides and pull it out of where your gem is." I tell the Amethysts and they follow my orders. Before I know it I see bright lights and soon whips are all over the place.
"Great job everyone! Now can the Amethysts that said 'no' or nothing can you guys practice this in your spare time? I want everyone to practice. You can now leave if you'd like, that's all I needed you for." I tell them and some of them cheer. I see Jasper leave and I speak up.
"Except for you Jasper. I need you for one more thing." I tell her and she turns around. She walks towards me and she soon stands in front of me.
"I just want to thank you. If it wasn't for you getting everyone I wouldn't have anyone to help me. I'm thankful that you helped me. And can you please try to summon your weapon? I want to see what it is." I tell her and she nods her head smiling. She closes her eyes and she moves her head forward and she soon has a helmet on her head. She opens her eyes and she smiles.
"I've been practicing. Even before you came along." Jasper tells me and I see a faint blush cross over her cheeks. I chuckle and I poke her cheek. She blushes even harder and I move my hand away from her face.
"Well i'm happy I saw a Jaspers weapon with you as my model. You can leave now if you want." I tell Jasper and she shakes her head.
"I want to ask you a few questions." Jasper tells me and hops on mg bed. I follow her and I jump on it. The bed squeaks and I giggle.
"So what's a question you want to ask me?" I ask Jasper and she looks at me for a moment.
"So you've met the crystal gems but where's Rose quartz? I know she was the leader, and she shattered Pink diamond with her sword." Jasper tells me and I shrug my shoulders.
"Rose quartz wasn't there. It was just a fusion named Garnet, a purple Amethyst, a Pearl, a Peridot, and Steven. I don't think Peridot was a crystal gem though, Peridot was just there." I tell Jasper and she looks confused.
"Who's Steven?" Jasper asks and I smile.
"Steven is a very sweet boy. I don't quite know what he is but he has a gem but he's a human. He can fuse with his girlfriend named Connie. I don't know what his gem is but it's a dark pink." I tell the Jasper and she gasps.
"Wait he's has a dark pink gem?" Jasper asks and I nod.
"Rose quartz had a dark pink gem on her stomach. What if they're the same person?" Jasper asks and I think back to when I asked Steven where his mom was. The sad look on his face when I asked, and his gem was on his belly.
"His gem was on his belly. One time I asked him where his mom was and he looked so sad and guilty. Could they be the same person?" I ask Jasper and she shakes her shoulders.
"Wait. This might be a stretch, but what if Rose quartz was actually Steven's mom? Rose could've met someone and she got pregnant with Steven." Jasper tells me and I give her a look. She sighs and continues.
"If a gem has a child they have to give up their true form. Rose could've gotten pregnant and gave up her form to have Steven." Jasper tells me and it clicks together.
"Has a gem ever gotten pregnant?" I ask Jasper and she shakes her head.
"No one's ever done it before, it's taboo to gems. It's.... It's impossible." Jasper tells me. I start to feel tired and my eyes slightly close.
"Hey Jasper, can you go? I'm starting to get tired. I've had a long day. We can talk tomorrow." I tell Jasper and she nods. She jumps off the bed but stands in front of me.
"Do you promise you'll talk to me tomorrow?" Jasper asks and shows me her pinky finger. I hook mine with her and she laughs.
"I promise." I tell Jasper and she walks towards the door.
"G'night Y/N! Jasper yells and soon enough the door's close. I lie back in bed and I pull the covers over me. I look at my bracelet and I press the ruby and sapphire and I soon see the solar system. I watch as the planets slowly rotate and I yawn. I press the buttons again and the solar system is gone. I close my eyes and I think of my day. I think about the solar system and I smile. I'm happy I found out about the surprise.
