She's been here all morning and she is saying she isn't leaving until she sees you...

"Jeff!" Julia calls out when she enters the small hospital room .

"I've been so worried about you, are you okay?" The expression on her face displays worry and dispair.
I nod, still in pain. "Why are you here?" I ask her, earning a glare from her.
She pulls one of the horrible chairs up to the side of my hospital bed and takes  a seat, fiddling with her fingers.
"Look...I know that you're a senior and everything and I'm a junior but i have to admit that I've always had a crush on you." This catches me by surprise causing my breath to hitch, my palms to become sweaty and my breathing to become uneven.

I look forward and my eyes meet hers, she looks sad for some reason...I wonder why?

"Why do you look sad?"

"Because I know that somebody like you will never find anybody like me interesting or beautiful enough to go out with." My heart sinks...I know that Julia is bullied - probably because the stupid girls in this school are jealous- but I never would've thought that it made her feel this self conscious.

I took every bit of strength in my body to stop me from leaning over and kissing her then but I worry that if I do that it will just ruin anything that's developing right now.

"Well, I've had a MAJOR crush on you for forever I've just been such a wimp that I couldn't admit it."

The sparkle returns to her eyes and she places her hand in mine and gives it a squeeze.

"Well, the nurse should have told you already that you're staying here overnight and my parents are out of town so I'll just stay her if that is alright with you?" The words roll off of her tongue with ease.

The room falls to complete silence and we sit there comfortably staring into each others eyes.

"Once you're out of here tomorrow, do you think we can grab a coffee?" I ask, breaking the silence.
