It's finally the day, the day that I have to California for my dad's birthday. It's a pretty big occasion because I rarely get to visit him.

I get dressed in a light blue pair of pumps, dark denim jeans and a lacey blue blouse and I put my hair up into a messy bun.

"(Y/N) hurry up, we need to be at the airport by 2:00 "

I quickly shove a few more things into my purse and then rush downstairs, eager to get to the airport.

When my mom sees me she sighs in relief to know that I don't make a bold fashion statement.

"Okay, c'mon, we gotta leave."

We both walk out of the street door, immediately met by cold air, pulling up the neck of the turtleneck sweater I am wearing to cover my chin and lips, we both rush to the car and my mom turns on the heater.

"Phew that was the coldest I've ever been."

I place my suitcase at the back of the car instead of the boot because I didn't want to leave the warmth of the vehicle.

"Did you grab the gift and card?" My mom asks me whilst starting the car.

" yes I did and I also put in an extra present from me. "

My mom nods and then starts driving to the airport.

*Time skip (already on plane)*

I take the window seat on an empty row of seats and my mom sits in front of me, embarrassed because I always listen to music and halfway through the plane ride I'll subconsciously start to hum really loudly or I'll sing.

I buckle my seatbelt and wait for the pilot to announce when he'll depart from the runway.

Just as I was about to fall asleep, I feel a tap on my shoulder.

I immediately stiffen up, nobody usually sits next to me because according to my living mother I look "unsociable" .

When I manage to turn around, I see the most attractive male to ever walk the earth. Okay, maybe that's an overstatement but he's still very attractive.

"Is this seat taken?" He asks, his blue eyes pierce through my soul and his hair- just don't get me started on his hair!

I shake my head, not talking because I don't think that I will be able to speak with coherency.

He places his carry on luggage in the compartment above me and then sits down next to me, buckling his seatbelt.

I can see him in my peripheral vision, he's staring at me, causing a blush to spread across my face.
