I chase Raymond around all through the backyard as he squeals with delight at our game of chase. I catch Raymond and scoop him up into my arms and he screams with glee. I spin him around, then toss him up and catch him in my open arms. Kate's around here somewhere, in the tall grass out of my line of sight. "Let's go find mommy, shall we?" I ask and he nods in agreement. He's determined, more than me. He runs far ahead of me searching for Kate's hiding spot in the grass. I point out the direction for him to look next and he follows my lead to examine the space. There's no Kate there, she's not anywhere in sight so far. We check the opposite way and I spot her, laying out on a blanket. Raymond hasn't spotted her yet, he's to low to the ground to see her. I pick him up and point her out to him and he squeals with delight. "Mommy!" He screams, wrestling out of my grip. I set him down on the ground and he runs to her. He leaps into her arms and she cradles him against her chest. She plants a kiss on one of his cheeks as I catch up to them and sit down on the grass beside Kate. I pick Raymond up out of Kate's arms and set him on my lap as we sit together. "You gotta be gentle with Mommy, remember. Baby sister is trying to grow inside her." I remind him and his face lights up with understanding. "I want baby sister now!" He demands and both Kate and I chuckle. "Nope, not yet, but soon though." Kate says, smiling brightly. Kate's due date is in a few weeks, but it's possible the baby could come before then. "Mommies, come play with me!" Raymond commands, standing up and pulling on each of our arms. "No, Mommy can't. She's got to rest remember? Only Mama can come play." I remind him, getting up on my feet to follow him for another game of chase. I chase him around the yard again and capture him up my arms. He's not easy to catch up with, but when I do it's thrilling. Every time I scoop him up into my arms he screams and thrashes around just as excited as always to be held. I toss him up in the air and catch him easily and he giggles in delight. I pull him in close and press a kiss to his forehead. He's grown up so much, but he'll always be my baby boy. "Let's go check on Mommy again, okay?" I ask, turning him so we can face each other. "Okay!" He struggles out of my arms as I lower him to the ground then he takes off running to find Kate again. I follow after him to where she's sitting and we both drop down onto the grass next to her. "I've been thinking." I say, wrapping an arm around Kate's waist. "About?" She asks. "I think Ava is a perfect name for baby number two." Kate suggested the name a while back but I wasn't sure about it then. "Oh, yeah?" She cups my chin in her hands, gazing down at me. "I think so too." She states, a bright smile on her face, then she leans in and kisses my already parted lips.
