White roses surround me, their petals flutter through the air and twirl around me with the wind. Im entranced by it as I take baby steps down the aisle, seeing only my feet. Ray has his hand in mine as he walks me down the aisle, but I can't look up. My eyes feel as if they are glued to my high-heeled feet. I can tell I'm approaching the end of the aisle by the increasing tension around me. People are whispering all around me, but I can't hear about what. The pit in my stomach grows as Ray comes to a stop beside me and I look up. Reverend Walsh stands before me, looking confused and slightly sad. Why? I look around and see the same expression on my small group of friends and families faces as well. What's wrong? I don't understand. My heart is now hammering in my chest as I turn back to find Kate. Surely she'll be able to explain why they're all looking at me like that. But when I turn to her, she's not there. Why isn't she in her place at the end of the aisle? "I-" I stutter, turning to see Ray standing at my side, looking just as sympathetic as the rest of them. "Daddy, What's going on? Where's Kate?" I question, my words coming out slurred with my increasing anxiety. My head whips around to look for her again, maybe she's amongst the crowd? I search and search for her, but she's not here. "I'm so sorry, Annie. She's not here." Ray confesses, pity clear on his face. "What do you mean? Where is she?" She has to be here. We're getting married! "She left. She said she couldn't go through with this." Reverend Walsh tells me. What? Kate's gone? She doesn't love me. She can't marry me. I feel like my heart has shattered. Tears spring into my eyes as I look back at the crowd.

My eyes fly open and I feel a hand on my shoulder shaking me. "Ana, baby, wake up." Kate whispers in a soothing voice. "What?" I turn to look at her, to make sure she's really here. "You left me. You didn't want me." I mumble, tears dripping down my cheeks. "What? Ana, you were dreaming. It was just a dream." She pulls me further into her arms and nuzzles my neck. "It was just a dream. I promise. I love you and I'm not going anywhere. Not today, not ever." She assures me, planting kisses along the side of my neck. I take a deep breath, absorbing her words, letting them sink in. Then I drift back asleep in her arms, only to be woken up what feels like only seconds later. "Ana, baby, wake up. It's our wedding day." Kate whispers in my ear, smiling hugely. I beam right back at her. "I'm going to be Mrs. Kavanaugh?" I whisper excitedly, getting up on my hands and knees on the bed. "Yeah, you are. But not if you don't get up and get ready." She swats my backside and smirks at me.

The lace of my dress sweeps along the ground behind me as I walk side by side with Ray down the aisle. Everyone is staring at me, I know that, but I can't seem to wipe the cheesy grin off my face as I stare at Kate who's standing on the opposite end of the aisle waiting on me. I nearly trip on my dress as I'm walking, but Ray catches me just in time. Kate giggles and so does most of the other people watching, but I ignore it. I don't trip again as I walk the rest of the distance between Kate and I. Ray releases my hand and goes to sit on the side of my mom that isn't already occupied by Bob. All I can see is Kate, looking so beautiful in her white wedding dress with all different colors of flowers trailing down the sides. Her hair is braided to one side and her emerald eyes sparkle and shine with teardrops filling them. As we say our vows my mind goes blank except for all thoughts of Kate. She's everything. She's all I can see, hear, feel, and think. We vow to love each other unconditionally, to protect each other, to cherish each other, as long as we both shall live. "You may kiss the bride." Reverend Walsh announces. I beam at Kate, my wife, my everything, and I see my expression reflected in her eyes. I'm all hers and she is mine. She pulls me in by my waist and kisses me, in front of everyone. They clap, but I hardly can hear it over the sound of Kate's whisper in my ear. "Don't let anyone other than me take this off." Her fingers trace along the neckline of my dress and shivers run down my spine. Her eyes glow with love as she takes my hand and walks me out to the dance floor.

Kate quite literally sweeps me off my feet as we dance. She holds me so tightly as my heels hover just slightly off the ground. Geez! She's tall. I giggle at the height difference, but the giggle is short lived because she spins me around and dips me down. My breath is momentarily lost in her lips as she kisses me, still holding me downwards. She then lifts me up and the song changes, thus ending our first dance together as a married couple. The dance floor fills with our friends and family as they all join together to dance. I catch a glimpse of Ray and my mother dancing together and tears prick in my eyes. They look so happy. Everyone does.

Screams of happiness fill my ears as Kate and I walk hand in hand to our rented limo. The bouquet in each of our hands are of roses, but mine are white and Kate's are a light pink. We look to one another, then in sync we throw them back at the crowd so they can fight to catch the bouquet. Kate and I are full of giggles as we look back and see that Jose caught mine and he's looking rather confused as to what to do with it. Kate's friend caught the other and she couldn't be happier about it. Our work here is done. I grin at Kate, enjoying the sound of her laughter. "Okay, Let's get out of here." She takes my hand and we run the rest of the way to our car, knowing we have the rest of our lives together ahead of us.
