I shrugged and grinned at him as he looked down at me with a soft face expression. It almost looked like his eyes held adoration and caring as he looked into mine.

His gaze went deep and I wanted to tell him everything, to share every little secret I knew and every little feeling that bubbled inside of my soul.

But I forgot.

A sudden pain stabbed like a needle into my heart and out flow all the happiness this moment held.

Tears flowed over the edge and my pathetic self found a way into Landon's strong arms only to hope he would hold me tight and replace the memories I lost with new happy ones.

"Shh angel." He whispered in my ear to calm me down. "Everything will be okay. You're safe, you're safe and I'll never let you go. Just cry little angel. Cry as long as your soul craves and then we'll talk about what happened. Is that okay?" He was still whispering while slightly rocking me and surprisingly it helped.

Only his presence helped and being in his arms was a whole lot more.

Soon I had stopped crying and looked into his eyes again.

They were sparkling and his gaze flickered between my eyes and lips as if he craved to kiss me.

"Will you tell me what's going on in that pretty head of yours?"

I blushed. Deeply. Why am I blushing? What should I even answer? I didn't know.

I didn't know a single thing.

Landon's POV:

It's been a week since my angel lost her memories and I selfishly used the situation. I made her food, I brought her flowers and I made her one million compliments.

Guess what?

It worked!

And as long as she didn't know who I am everything was perfect.

Today I wanted to ask her out. I think it's normal that I'm nervous but why did my hands have to be so sweaty?!

As I opened the door to the house we were currently living in Katie's arms caved me in a bone crashing hug.

My heart almost burst out of my chest. "You're back." She grinned at me obviously happy and I smiled back. It couldn't end that bad if I asked her. I hope.

"Yes angel and guess what?" I grinned and her eyes began to shine. "What? Tell me!" She acted like a little child. So curious and excited.

Damn I'm so glad to have her in my arms.

"We're going to the cinema today. I'll take you out." Her smile widened and she pressed a kiss onto my cheek. I noticed how my face got warm.

Did I just blush?!

"That's fabulous! And now you guess what!" She giggled and I got an unsure feeling.

A moment later I smelled it...alcohol. My baby was drunk!

That's why she was so happy to see me...and that's why I still held her. It was a lie. When she sobered up she wouldn't want this.

My hope vanished.

"One of your man said I could drink a glass champagne if I didn't tell y...wait. Oh I promised him I wouldn't tell you." She giggled again and my eyes narrowed.

Who of this incompetent idiots got her drunk?

What if she drank too much? What if she would be dead by now? I needed to find this bastard.

"That's...nice Katie. What exactly is his name?" Her eyes widened and she giggled again. "It's a secret so pssssht." I sighed firstly because she was so innocent,  even drunk and secondly because I had to lie to her.

"I won't tell anyone your little secret angel." Her eyes brightened up. "So we can be like James Bond? All undercover? Kate and Landon Bond." A light chuckle escaped my throat and I nodded. "Whatever you want my dear."

She nodded and whispered the name into my ear. "Blaine Walden." Blaine! Ugh why did he always get in trouble?

Annoyed I put my hand against my forehead while the other still held Katie tightly against me. "I'm tiiiiiired." She suddenly stated.

"How much did you drink Angel?" I asked now really concerned. She giggled again. Even drunk she is cute. "Two glasses!" My baby stated proudly. Oh she's a lightweight.

I needed to smile. "Ok let's get you to bed Katie." Just as I was about to go she jumped off me. Confused I watched her petite frame as she wobbled down the corridor. "I don't wanna go to bed!"

She stopped 9 feet away from me and crossed her arms over her chest. Bad idea.

If there hadn't been a wall she fastly supported herself with she had fallen down.

Almost as fast as lightning I rushed to Katie's side and picked her up in bridal style.

"If you sleep now we will go to the cinema later AND eat ice cream after that." A little blackmailing couldn't be too bad.

"Okay...but you sleep too!" Her pouting face told everything she felt. I nodded and quickly got up the stairs and into my room.

What?

I needed her at least in the afternoon in here so her scent stayed. Otherwise I wasn't able to sleep anymore.

And before you think I would sleep in here with her you're deadly wrong. She doesn't allow a person she can't remember to sleep in a bed with her.

I tried it...

As soon as I sat her down she was out. The alcohol got her good.

Quickly I tucked her in and left the room to find Blaine. He has a lot of explaining to do...
