Landon didn't lie. The next days he did EVERYTHING to make me feel as comfortable as possible. It was really sweet of him but I didn't need a 1000$ blanket to sleep peacefully and neither did I need a pizza for 200$.

Who is even producing such stuff? It's so expensive and useless.

"Kate? Can I come in?" I was in his library. "Sure, it's your house after all." I heard the door open and a second later Landon's shadow was hovering over my book.

I looked up and smiled a little at him which caused the corners of his mouth to go up as well. He has dimples. So cute!

"Why don't you sit down?" I asked him only to be swept up and placed on his lap.

Surprised I looked behind me to see his face. I was able to catch a triumphant look and needed to hide the smile that wanted to break free.

I am falling for him.

The realization made me jump high to fulfill the task my instinct taught me first: to hide.

But boy I was slow in comparison to Landon.

Before I was even able to make it to the door he stood in front of it, arms crossed and a confident look on his face.

"You try to run away again?" My eyes widened to their limit and I began to stare.

No one said anything for what felt like hours...

"Eh..." Was the great response I finally managed to get out of my dry throat.

Landon just shook his head and smiled cockily at me.

"I don't bite Katie. Well I won't until you allow me too..." My shocked expression gave him the sign that I didn't appreciate or even understood that he, in fact, was playing a joke on me.

"I'm kidding Kate."

I nodded perplexed and a little: "Oh." was the only thing coming to my mind in that situation. Landon laughed at me and shook his head. He pulled me into his arms and placed a kiss onto my temple. It tingled. A comfortable and new feeling. It felt like I wanted to burst into tears, laugh and scream out how happy I am at the same time!

Am I going crazy?

"I love you Kate." He sighed. "I know you still need time and I will be giving you time just promise me one thing: Don't run away. I couldn't bear it. It would tore me apart until there's nothing left. My soul would die."

I nodded. Was it too early to say it back?

It seems like the right time.

My mind screamed and I got scared as I looked up and into Landon's face.

"I am falling for you Landon. I think I might even love you."

His eyes widened and a smile made it's way to his face. He pressed me tightly to him and placed multiple kisses onto my hair to express his happiness.

I think our connection will hold on for a long time. Maybe even forever.

Landon and I.

We.

THE END

Felt like I couldn't continue this book and I hate sad books so here you go.

The last part.

Sorry I didn't write it any longer but I think an end is better than a stop in the middle of the fiction.
