Newt walked into the diner, the employees looked at him, then one of them threw him a apron. They all nodded at him, then went back to work. Preparing the diner for opening. Newt put his apron on and threw his bag in the back, with his phone on silent.

Newt went to the tables and begun to fill the pepper and salt shakers. Newt sighed, he didn't really want to be at his new job. He honestly would rather be with Thomas, singing, or talking. Newt just enjoyed Thomas' company, no matter what they were doing. However, Newt had to focus on his job.

Thomas sat in the kitchen, at the dining table. His mother sitting on the other end. She was just sitting there not doing anything, she just stared at Thomas.

Thomas looked at his mother and scowled, "What?"

She smiled, "I'm just taking in my beautiful son. I was thinking maybe we could go out today and hang out. We could make up for all the time we lost."

Thomas snickered and rolled his eyes, "Why would I make up any time lost with you. You choose to lose the time when you went numb. Nothing you do now will change what you did or what he did. I not gonna forgive him and I'm not gonna forgive you."

Thomas stood up from the table and walked out of the house. He got in his car and drove to Gally's home. Thomas didn't have knock on the door, he was allowed in the house whenever he wanted. Thomas walked up to Gally's room, for once it wasn't dirty, it was cleaner than it had ever been. Everyone was already in Gally's room, Minho, Brenda, Jeff, Winston, Teresa and obviously Gally was there. They were all just sitting around just talking.

Teresa looked up and saw Thomas in the door way, "Shocker, you're not with Newt. That's quite new, what happened?"

Thomas stared Teresa down, "He got a new job. That's where he is. Where were you for the past two weeks? Oh yeah, that's right. You were sitting at home in your bed with a broken leg, crying and puking your guts out."

Teresa rose from her seat, "Tom, shut up!"

Thomas smiled, then took his own seat.

Teresa shook her head, "How is everyone so okay with us being friends with them just randomly."

Brenda shrugged, "It didn't happen just randomly. After you left a lot of stuff happened and lots of feelings changed," Brenda glanced at Thomas and smiled, "Teresa we're sorry you missed out on all of it, but face it. No one is who they used to be."

Teresa grew angry inside, she could feel her intestines boiling, "You're talking about how Thomas is in love with Newt!"

Everyone looked at Thomas.

"I don't love any one. I don't do friends. I don't do relationships. I don't love him. I don't even care about him."

Everyone froze, but Teresa just smiled. Thomas turned around and unfortunately in the door way, Newt stood. He had heard every word Thomas just said.

Thomas looked at him and he felt pain inside, "Newt..."

Newt moved his mouth, but no words came up for a minute, he stood there, "I got off early, I thought I'd ask if you wanted to hang out. Apparently not. I'm gonna go."

Newt walked away leaving Thomas stand there.

Teresa smiled and hugged Thomas from behind, she buried her head in his back. She sighed at the scent of his cologne. Thomas didn't move, he just let Teresa hug him, but on the inside he wanted to cry.

A couple days passed and Newt still hadn't talked to Thomas. However, Thomas had tried to get a hold of him. He called, he texted, he even stopped by Newt's house a couple of times, but his mom said he wasn't home every time.
