Markus looks at his reflection in the mirror, sighing and glancing to the door when he heard the gentle knock, presumably from Carl, his adopted father.
He heavily doubted it was Leo, for he just barges in whenever he needs to talk.
"Come in."

Carl opens the door, wheeling himself into his sons room and looking at him, placing a few books on the bed.
He loved Markus' art.
He hopes he carries on drawing, because clearly, Leo didn't inherit his fathers skill.
"Josh will be here in a few minutes. Are you definitely ready to leave? Have you packed everything?"
He's always concerned on whether he's forgotten things, It's not like Markus is a forgetful person.

"I've packed everything, Carl." He Nods, Looking over at the old man with a soft smile.
He's so glad Carl made the choice of adopting him.
He was living the perfect life.
He excelled classes and had a bright future ahead of him.

The sound of the car beeping was what brought his attention back to the current task.
Go to joshes.
He was probably only staying for the week, but his friend North would also be there, so he looked forward to it.
He heard that Josh had a boyfriend now.
He was curious, because he hasn't met him yet.

He walks to the door, stopping to lean down and give Carl a hug, taking the books from the bed and placing them in the suitcase he was bringing with him.
"I'll ring you when I get there Carl."

"I know." The old man called as Markus made his way down the stairs, earning a quiet laugh at his comment.
Carl didn't know what he would do without Markus.
He adopted him because he saw potential in the young boy.
Markus took it upon himself to become like a carer for Carl.
Not that he was complaining.

Markus closes the front door behind him, making his way to Joshes car and pausing when he saw someone sat in the passenger seat.
He was..
Beautiful.
Markus could find so many other words to describe him, but beautiful was most accurate.
With his baby blue eyes, full of curiosity as he gives a small and welcoming smile to Markus, who couldn't help but return one.

"Hey, Markus." Josh waves, lowering his window and leaning over, opening the back door from the inside and glancing back to his boyfriend with a small smile.
Why did the smile seem forced?
"Markus. This is my boyfriend, Simon."

"It's nice to meet you." Simon smiles at him, sitting up a bit as he looks at Markus from over his shoulder, his blue eyes meeting with the other boys mismatched ones.
They're amazing.
Despite how much he loves Josh, he can't help but let his eyes linger on Markus.
He doesn't seem to mind, for he's doing some staring of his own.

"Pleasures all mine." He Nods at Simon, a playful wink following his sentence before he laughs, flicking Josh in the side of the head when he seemed annoyed by Markus' action.
"I'm kidding."

"Pfft. I knew that." Josh looks forwards, starting the car and laughing, looking at Markus through the mirror.
"Just don't take my boyfriend and we'll be fine got it?" He rolls his eyes, laughing.
He's joking, of course
He doubts Markus would do such a thing.
Maybe if he knew the truth, he would.
