"You told North??"

Okay. So maybe Simon wasn't entirely happy about Markus' decision, but now that North was aware Josh hadn't stopped hurting her friend, she'd started to get him out of the house a lot more often.

Which explains why Markus was sat in Josh and Simons bedroom, eyes trained on the bed sheets in front of him, unable to look at the betrayal in Simons expression.
"..I'm sorry. I know, I should've asked first, but she's been through something like this. She can help you."

"I don't want her help. Like you said, she's been through something like this before.. Getting her involved in it again just seems cruel! It'll take her forever to accept the truth about Josh and if he finds out she knows he will hurt her."

"North wouldn't let him hurt her. Not after everything she's been through. Besides, I got Connor to stay in the area, I'm not just going to let her go out on her own when we know what Josh is capable of." Markus looks at Simon, sighing and chewing the inside of his cheek, only stopping when he tastes the blood - trying and failing to hide how he winced.

"Does that mean Connor knows as well?" Simon raises an eyebrow, looking at Markus and waiting for the answer almost anxiously.

"No. I didn't tell him - he'd get Hank involved if he knew."

Hank Anderson worked in the Detroit police department and he was very protective of Connor and his friends. Beneath Hanks attitude and scowls, there was a soft and loving man, he gave the biggest hugs, which Connor discovered, but he always denies it.

"Thank you, Markus."

They were still figuring out what to do. Clearly alcohol was a big factor in this problem, Josh wasn't himself whenever he drank. They all knew this, but they couldn't exactly just take away all the drinks in the house, he'd notice straight away.

Simon didn't want to call the police. He didn't want Josh to get in trouble because he did love him.
It may not be the same love as before.. it definitely was not romantic anymore, but Josh was still important to him.
He wanted him to get the help he needed, not a damaged reputation and the title of an abuser.

They'd began limiting the drinks Josh has and when he's sober, he manages to agree, but when he's drunk, his temper was awful and he snapped at them when they tried to take his fifth drink away.
Not only was it damaging his relationships with his friends and lover, but it was seriously unhealthy to be drinking that much.

People would probably call Simon insane if they knew how worried he was for Josh considering everything he's done to him.
He can't help it. He always has been caring, even if he wasn't favourable of the person he's caring for.

"Don't mention it. I just wish I could do more.." He looks at the blonde, frown not leaving his face.
"Si, Let me talk to him, please."

He didn't understand why Simon was against him speaking to Josh. Dialogue was always the first thing Markus tried. If it didn't work, violence was a last resort.

"No. If you talk to him, he'll know I've told you. He'll never trust me again."
He couldn't lose Josh. Not his Josh.

This wasn't his boyfriend. His boyfriend would never even think about hurting him.  This was just a man who drank to much. Josh wasn't nice to him when he drank, he knew that but gave up on trying to make it stop.

However, before all of this, there was a loving person holding the drinks. Simon said yes when he asked him out for a reason after all.

"Why does his trust matter??" Markus couldn't help but raise his voice slightly, fear and anger mixed into his tone.
He hated the way Simon flinched because of it.

"He's my boyfriend, Markus," He begins, studying Markus' expression - hopeful when he saw his brows furrow at the word boyfriend.

He couldn't love Markus. Not when he was still with Josh, but it was so difficult not to.

"I can't just get him in trouble, no matter what he does."

Markus looks at his hands, knuckles already slightly bruised from when he'd decided to take his anger out on the wall.
For a moment - and it was just a moment - He was envisioning what they would look like with Joshes blood on them.

He didn't want to use violence. He didn't want to hurt Josh, he was one of his closest friends, he was still having trouble coming to terms with all of this, but what choice did he have?
He wouldn't stop unless someone showed him how it felt.

Well, there were probably other ways, but Markus' jealousy was a big factor in his thoughts.

"We'll figure something out, Simon. I promise."
