I stared at the headstones in front of me, bouquets of flowers, pictures, and letters designing each and every headstone. I cupped my hands in prayer, leaning on my crutches.
"off visiting them again, I see"
I flinched. I saw Gabrielle and grinned "you startled me there"
"not my fault you're absent minded"
I chuckled at her remark. "how's Ji Han?"
"hopefully they lock him up in isolation" she hugged her body, her eyes blankly gazing at Ji Soo's smiling picture.
I rolled my eyes and took my blazer off. I placed it on her shoulders. why the hell does she always dress thinly when she knows that it's going to be cold outside?
"I just ..." she faltered. She absent-mindedly played with the sleeve of my blazer. "I just don't want him to ever get out"
Well, after everything that happened, that's understandable. To be honest, I don't want him out and about too.
I raised my eyebrows "that was some creepy crap alright"
She rolled her eyes "oh, shut up"
"I'm just glad it's over"
I stared at her as she gave me a small smile, her eyes still transfixed on Ji Soo's pictures. "tell me about it"
Silence wrapped us in its sneaky tendrils. The breeze tousled our hair. The sounds of the birds chirping served as our background as we wallowed in their own thoughts.
She checked her watch. "oh gosh. It's already 8"
"eight, you say?"
"yeah, want me to drive you to school?"
I nodded. "that would be sweet"
I chuckled as she took my jacket off and handed it back to me. "your jacket smells by the way"
I rolled my eyes at her "a nice thank you would suffice"
She laughed and placed an arm over my shoulders, helping me hobble back to her car.
