"I must've moved or something. it's explainable"

I told Gabrielle as she sat in front of me, her eyes burning a hole through the table. she played with her second cup of coffee.

I sighed. I know for a fact that when she gets that look on her face, the chances of her just letting it go is 99%. "seriously Noona. There's no need to over think or over analyze"

She met my gaze and I faltered. I pursed my lips, averting my gaze to the hot chocolate in front of me. She's scary when she's angry. She just turns into this full-blown word killer with the temperament of a toddler.

"okay, okay. Shutting up now"

guess she wasn't really in the mood to listen to my what-if scenarios.

"I want to do it again"

I raised my eyebrows "sorry, what?"

She took a deep breath and placed a hand over mine. "I know. It's difficult for you to do that again but there's just something that doesn't make sense. I need you to trust me—"

"you want me to go through all that again?!" I clenched my fists. (well, fist. The other one's in a cast but if it wasn't it would've been my fists) She tightened her grip on my hand and shot me a warning look. I lowered my voice "no"

"we're close to something. I can feel it." she took a deep breath and cupped my right cheek, forcing me to look at her right in the eyes "This time, I would be the one doing it"

--

"I don't think this is a good idea"

I stared at Gabrielle as she sat on the recliner beside mine, her eyes shut. She took a deep breath "just trust me in on this. I know what I'm doing"

I refused to shut my eyes. "that's what you said when you forced me to go to—"

"kid" her eyes snapped open. She glared at me "do you mind? I thought we already agreed to do this"

"yeah, but-- Now that I'm in here—" I faltered. I scrutinized her apartment, a heavy brick crushing my chest and taking my ability to breathe properly. "I- I can't"

"I'm sorry, I know you're being pushed to do something that you don't want to do but this is something that we need to do" she took a deep breath and held my hands. I stared at her. "I'll pull you out the moment you tell me to"

I nodded and shut my eyes. she took a deep breath. "you know you can relax your body because you've relaxed in the past and the more you relax, the more comfortable you feel."

Her soothing voice relaxed my nerves. I began to breathe easily, forgetting all my worries. I can almost feel the sinking sensation once again. "As you feel the relaxation coursing through your body, you know that every one of your muscles can just let go and unwind completely."

The sound of her breathing calmed him "And the more you relax the easier it is to imagine yourself in a totally comfortable and contented place and as your body continues to relax you can just let go, which means you're so relaxed now that your mind just calms right down."

I opened my eyes and gritted my teeth. I stared at the lifeless bodies of my friend as they bathed in their own pool of blood.

"kid, you okay?"

Yeah, I just saw my friends dead once again for the third time. I think I'm okay.

She didn't respond. I heard the familiar creak of the door. I stared at Ji Soo as he eerily smiled at me, his knife raised.

The blood drained down my feet. I stared at him, my heart pounding as he stepped closer and closer towards me. The red liquid dripped down it's steel blade.

But I wasn't going to leave until I get anything about this weird thing that she keeps on telling me.

I saw Seungcheol lunge on Ji Soo and slam a stapler on his face, earning him a bloodcurdling shriek of pain.

That was when I lost my grip and fell off the building.

The excruciating pain of my body hitting the ground followed by thorns piercing through my flesh made me scream.

I heard Seungcheol's groans and whimpers followed by a series of slams.

That infernal noise. "take me back"

But the orange-

Seungcheol's anguished groans drove me insane. I wanted to cover my ears, do anything just to shut that terrible noise.

"Damn it! Take ME back!"

I jolted up, my chest heaving up and down rapidly. I stared at Gabrielle as she gave me a cup of water. I gladly drank it, water spilling down and soaking his shirt.

"Hansol—"

"I'm not going to do that again"

"I know"

I looked up at her. She avoided my gaze and kneaded my shoulders "let's get you home, kid"
