The sound of a bloodcurdling scream followed by glasses shattering filled the room. I kicked the television off the table.
I killed him.
I remember pushing him off the building and his body lying on that rose bush. How the hell has he managed to stay alive despite of that?!
I loosened my tie. I should've just stabbed him to make sure. I was too hasty and overconfident.
Now, everything's going to waste. Everything that I worked hard for and sacrificed.
"argh!"
I shoved the books off my desk, anger coursing through my whole body.
That kid. He was still alive all along.
To make matters worse, he's close to Gabrielle. This scheme of mine could easily fall apart with just a snap of that kid's fingers.
Why didn't I take secondary measures?!
I panted. I sat down and stared at the 7 computer screens before me, each showing a part of Gabrielle's house. I stared at her as she got herself ready for bed.
Her tangled black hair fell on her shoulders, her uncanny yet striking seaweed green orbs matching her pajamas. My mouth curved into a smile.
She jumped into her bed and tucked herself under her blankets.
She turned her lights off.
A smirk formed on my face. Of course, there's no need for me to panic. They are the ones that asked for my aid.
I can still fix this.
