"stop it!"

I stared at Hansol as he writhed on the chair, his knuckles almost turning white as he clutched the armrests. I gazed at Ji Han. His face turned pallid.

"Make it stop! Make it stop!"

"what do you see Hansol?"

"there's something orange- Move! Damn it!"

"Hansol, focus!"

Hansol screamed. I jumped off the couch and ran towards the lad as tears streamed down his cheeks. "stop it. stop it. please" he begged.

I grabbed his arms and shot Ji Han a glare. "grab him some water"

He nodded and left.

I cradled Hansol in my arms as he let loose another guttural scream.

"kid—no, Hansol, this is me Gabrielle"

"I heard- I heard someone scream"

"listen to me, I'm going to count from five to one. When I reach one, you're going to snap out from your trance. Five, I am heading down there. I left something in your dorm"

"oh, goodness. He's coming!"

"four, I'm speeding to your place. I'm in a hurry to get what I lost"

He screamed "three, I get off the car. I notice something wrong in the atmosphere. Two, I see you Hansol. I'm running towards you. to help you. to pull you back. One! Kid, I said one!"

He jolted up from his seat and grabbed me. He buried his face in my shoulder, taking in deep breaths as he tried to calm himself down.

Tears soaked my shirt.

He tightened his hold on my waist. I stroked his head "you're going to be okay now"

--

I stared at Hansol as he gazed blankly at the wall, his body still trembling under the cover of the blanket. I rubbed his back "can you tell me what happened back there?"

"I can. I saw what Hansol saw"

I turned my attention to Ji Han. He sat on the couch, his head in his hands. He stared at the ground "He witnessed Ji Soo murdering Seungcheol"

Ji Soo? Seungcheol?

My eyes widened. Hansol nodded and took a sip from his glass of water, his eyes still blank with any emotion.

"what are you talking about? Ji Soo can't do that"

"he also caught a glimpse of the orange vehicle that Ji Soo used to escape"

I bit my lower lip. Hansol nodded once again before shooting the psychologist a look of distrust. "yeah. I remember seeing that"

I frowned, my hand scratching the spot beneath my ear. There's something wrong.

Why is he the one telling me this?

If Hansol's still under his influence, manipulating what the teen saw is as easy as counting one to ten. Besides, he fell on the bush. To see the color of a vehicle in that position ...

I tilted my head. it just didn't click.

"My brother ... I can't believe that he was capable of doing such horrible deeds to his friends"

But why would Ji Han even lie to me?

I met his gaze. I forced out a smile and patted Hansol's back "I think we need to go"

"you're not going to stay for dinner?"

I helped Hansol up. I grinned at Ji Han. "know what? I think I will. After I drag this kid home"
