I walked with Jonathan around the funeral parlor to pick out a coffin. My brother kept me close by wrapping an arm around my shoulders. I never imagined not having Will around at this age, let alone picking out his coffin. Everything was silent.

"Y/N, I have something to ask you," Jonathan said, breaking the silence. I looked up at him. "Tomorrow, don't wear any makeup."

"Why?"

"Will never thought that you needed it, but you wore it all the time. Just do it tomorrow. For me, for Will. Let everyone see how beautiful you are without anything to add to it."

"Alright, Jonathan."

"Jonathan, I need to talk to you," Nancy Wheeler said as she walked into the room. "It's important."

"Ok," Jonathan said as he walked toward her. I was next to him the whole way.

"It's about those pictures-"

"Look, I'm sorry about those."

"No, that's not what I need to talk about. It's about Barb. That night, what did you see?"

"She was there one minute and gone the next. What's this about? Is she missing?"

"Yes, but that's not all. You know that monster that your mom has been talking about?"

"Monster," I asked. "What monster?"

"Mom thinks that a monster killed Will. I'll explain later."

"I don't think that she's wrong," Nancy stated. "I saw the monster that she described. It was tall, bony, and had no face."

"You mean my mom is right?" Jonathan asked.

"I'm not sure if it actually killed Will, but there is definitely is a monster in Hawkins."
