I still can't get his promise out of my head. Is it a promise? It feels like it, but I am not sure. Could he possibly forgive me this quick? Even though Ryan, Mason and I were now with Candy, Trey and Jason, my mind couldn't let go of the words. Mason has an amazing time with the horses. This is his first time seeing a real horse, and now he is touching them and riding on them, so yeah he is really excited. After we had left the mountain with the stunning view of the whole city Ryan had driven us to the woods, we had to walk a bit, but Mason had been so curious to see the horses, so he hasn't complained. He had been very quiet, he had been analysing all the surroundings he saw. Ryan and I weren't very quiet compared to Mason, so maybe Mason had been listening. Ryan and I have mainly talked about music and how much he wanted to hear me play again. I have promised him to play specially for him soon.

Now Ryan is telling Mason all his knowledge about horses and I have been listening carefully. We stood around Trey with Mason and Ryan on one side and me on the other. "As you see horses have different colors. Trey is black and Jason is light brown. And Candy is light grey. Horses can also have a reddish colour, just like foxes. How you ever seen a fox?" Ryan asked Mason.

"Yes I have. Ones Scarlett, my dad and I were walking around our house and we saw a fox. I wanted to touch it, but he was way too quick. Scarlett was scared." He giggled which made Ryan laugh. And with that, I could feel my cheeks getting hotter.

"Next time better, little buddy." I shivered when I heard Ryan call Mason by the nickname I gave him. "The color of horses is determined by their fleece, but lighter colors partly through their skin. In both cases the color is genetically determined."
"What do you mean?" Mason asked confused.

"Horse Breeds that are close to their forefathers often exhibit a so-called dorsal stripe, that is  a stripe on the back of  a horse from the withers to the tail or zebra stripes, these stripes go from the back to the front legs."

"Wauw." Mason is clearly amazed by what Ryan is telling him. I wish I could ever be as smart as him, so I can tell Mason these things sometimes.

"There are horses called Grays. The Gray is a dark current horse with a dominant gene that causes the hair in the course of time to get lighter. The eyes of these horses are also dark, they don't change colors though."

"Is Candy a Gray?"

"She isn't. Candy is a regular horse, my mother didn't want a special horse. Any horse is perfect for her."

"How old do horses get?"

"It all of course depends on the care and medications the horse gets. With good care a horse can get 25 up to 33."

"How old is Jason?"

"Jason is 20. I got him when he was 18, at the time I was also 18. That's one of the reasons I got him."

"I want a horse too when I get 18!" Mason said excited. Ryan and I laughed simultaneously. The way our laughs blended, made me want him more desperately. It feels like we blended through our laughs, like we became closer again. I have missed that. And I wouldn't like to feel that again. All that I ever want to be, is be somebody to him.

"Do you want to ride on Jason?" Ryan asked Mason.

"YES!" Mason shouted. We walked over to Jason. Mason was already jumping to get on Jason, but he couldn't reach his back. I lifted Mason on Jason and told hom to hold on Jasons reins. When I was ready to turn around and face Ryan, I felt hands moving from my back to my hips and finally wrapping his hands around me.

"How can you forgive me this easily?" I breathe out.

"I trust you." He placed a gentle kiss on my neck. "And there is a very strong feeling in me called love. And it's all for you." With that I turned around and placed my lips on his. I missed this, and god I didn't want to miss it ever again. His hand moved up to my neck, making our lips pressed closer to each other. Our previous kisses were nice and sweet, this one is full of passion and lust. Every inch of my body is losing control. I couldn't hold back my hands, they want to discover all the places of his back and chest. I was enjoying myself, but his shirt got in my way, to really discover, before I got the chance to do anything, Mason cleared his throat, which made me smile against Ryans lips.

"I missed you." I said.

"Promise not to leave me again." He stated, which means he won't let me go before I promise, not that I am doubting.

"I promise."

"Ryan! Scarlett!" My eyes went from Ryan to Mason. My worries started growing, he sounds scared. When my brain finally understood why he was scared, I let go of Ryan and took Masons hand, making him calm down a little. Jason had started moving slowly, probably bored of standing on the same place, which had caused him to get scared. I placed my other hand on Jason hoping that would make him stop. Until Jason stopped walked, Masons fingers were wrapped around my finger, but when he stopped, Mason relaxed, let go of my finger and smiled.

"Are we going to walk beside him or do you want to ride too?" Ryan asked me.

"I don't mind walking. When is the last time Candy and Trey got out for a walk?"

"Maybe two or three days ago."

"Let's take them out for a walk too." I suggested.  Ryan nodded in agreement and walked towards Trey and then to Candy, taking them outside. While Ryan had been preparing Trey and Candy for a walk, I took Mason and Jason outside.

As soon as we left the stable, the heat of the sun connected with my skin. I can't remember when it has been as hot as it is today. When I tried to look up to the sun, my eyes started tingling. Which is not a good sign, maybe I should honestly think about checking my eyes. I have promised Dr. Smith I would, so that would be fair. That reminds me of something.

"Ryan?"

"Yes?" I heard his voice coming from behind, he had Trey on his right and Candy on his left, ready to leave.

"Why were you in the hospital?"

We looked at each other for a few minutes. It didn't seem like Ryan was thinking deeply, but I wondered why he didn't answer right away. The few minutes gave me enough time to look into his eyes, without one of us looking away. His eyes soft and light. Unlike mine his are not big, but they aren't small either, they are normal. He must have his fathers eyes, because his mother are roundish almond shaped, Ryans are a little hooded at the end of his eyelid, but you barely notice. "I do a few blood tests each year, just to check my health."

His words got me out of my thoughts. "That's good of you. You have to take care of yourself."

"You should do that too. I don't want to lose you."

"Thank you." For caring about me.

Ryan gave me a wink. "Let's ride these horses! I bet someone is getting irritated of all the waiting!"

I could hear Mason giggle beside me, I walked towards Candy and somehow managed to get up on my own. I guess it is the excitment. I placed my hand on Candy's gorgeous manes and saw at the same time that Ryan got on Trey. I wanted to give Candy a signal to walk towards Mason, but I don’t know how. Luckily she saw Trey walking towards Mason, so she copied. I am on Masons right side and Ryan on his left, so there would be no chance for him to fall off.

"Where are we going?" Mason asked.

"That's is a surprise." Ryan said. Mason didn't bother asking again, he likes surprises. He can keep secrets and surprises, that's why everyone likes him that much. He is honest and reliable, even for his age.
