Everyone in the Hwarang House had gathered in the middle of the main courtyard despite the scorching heat of the sun by the hour of Wu. The four Hwarang men along with Princess Sookmyung, her female bodyguard, and Ahro stood at the platform below the podium while the Queen, Moyeong, the Commandant, and the rest of the Hwarang officials along with Chunhwa stood at the podium— looking down at the Hwarang and Nando men below them.
"These four Hwarang men shall go as delegates requesting amity to Baekje while guarding Princess Sookmyung at the same time." the Queen spoke, addressing to the men below her.
"Go and solidify the alliance with Baekje that has been in place since the 19th King of Silla!"
"Yes, Your Highness!" the four Hwarang echoed.
Chunhwa couldn't help but silently sigh on her place, feeling worried and defeated at the same time. She had badly wanted to come with the delegates in order to protect the Princess from the possible dangers they might face on the way and while in the country of Baekje, but the Queen had already given her the royal order to stay in the Hwarang House and continue teaching the other Hwarang men instead.
She slowly snapped from her thoughts when everyone started to move from their places in order to assist the delegates to their horses that were ready outside. As she made her way down the podium and towards the gates to bid them a safe journey, she noticed that Yeowool was waiting for her to catch up to him and when she does, the beautiful Hwarang slid his arm around her and softly patted her on the shoulder.
"Are you okay?" he softly smiles at her, putting down his arm and now placing a finger in between her unconsciously furrowed eyebrows.
"You look so sad."
"I- what do you mean, I'm not sad." Chunhwa lightly chuckles, pulling away a little and refusing the meet his eye.
"It's okay, they'll be back in no time and they'll be safe. Besides, they are the best Hwarang men in here so far— they are all good with swordsmanship, well even if Sunwoo's a little shite at it, so I don't think they could be defeated that easily." he reassures her, making her slowly look up at him as they continued to walk.
"Thank you..." she softly smiles, feeling touched.
"Although it'll get a little bit lonely at night since it's just going to be me and Hansung," he muses, shaking his head a little. "Perhaps I could take advantage of the quietness since I won't be hearing Sooho and Sunwoo's loud snores for a while."
"Yah," the young lady then laughs at that, making Yeowool smile softly.
"There, you're finally smiling. You should smile often you know, frowning results to wrinkles and that would ruin our beauty at this young age. I bet you wouldn't want that." he says, making Chunhwa laugh some more.
She lightly shakes her head.
"Whatever, Master Yeowool."

The next day finds Queen Ji Soo in her quarters, brooding as she had always been doing the past few months ever since Sam Maekjong had came back to Silla. Her thoughts come to a halt as the doors to her quarters opened, revealing Master Ahnji.
