Scott always knew Mark and Mason as the power couple of the school. Everybody adores them, and everybody wants to be friends with them. But, the two never paid attention to anyone but themselves.
Scott's too shy to even speak to them, but he's always wanted to try.
Scott's definitely not what you call "popular" in school, but he's not a nobody either. He's in choir, and does a lot of theater. It helps him with his shyness. So, he does know a few people. But, that's about it.
Scott sighs as he walks out of the library, books close to his chest and head down. He takes a turn, and then he gasps when he bumps into someone, causing them both to drop their belongings.
Scott looks up and his eyes widen when he sees that it's none other than Mark Manio.
"Sorry about that," Mark chuckles and bends down, grabbing Scott's books first and then his own. He stands straight and hands Scott his books. "Oh, you're shaking. Are you alright?"
Scott takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. It's just Mark. That's all. He's just another student. It's not like he's a celebrity or anything. "I-I-I'm fine," he mumbles.
"I'm sorry for running into you like that. I should be more careful," Mark apologizes.
Scott shakes his head. "I-I wasn't looking..."
"It's okay," Mark places a hand on Scott's arm, causing him to blush. "My name is Mark."
"I know," Scott says, before his eyes widen. "I mean... I mean, my name is Scott."
Mark chuckles. "You're cute. I'm about to go meetup with Mason. Wanna come?" He asks.
"M-Me?" Scott asks. "But... you don't talk to anyone. Why me?"
"Cute boys named Scott are an exception. Mason is going to love you," Mark says, grabbing Scott's arm and then leading the way down the hallway. They meet Mason outside of the school building.
This is definitely not how Scott thought his weekend would start, but... he's not complaining either. He actually feels pretty special. The fact that Mark is talking to him when he and Mason never accept anyone but themselves. It's only been just the two of them for as long as Scott can remember.
"Mase!" Mark runs up to him and kisses him sweetly. "I missed you."
Mason smiles, wrapping an arm around him. "I missed you too, baby. Are you...? Who is that?"
Mark looks over, and motions Scott to come closer. Scott obeys instantly. "This is Scott,"
"Okay, but... what is he doing here?" Mason hisses. "You know how I feel about..."
"I know, but... he's so sweet," Mark whispers. "I think we should give him a chance. Please, Mason?"
Mason looks over at Mark and sighs, before slowly nodding. "Okay, fine. We'll give him a chance,"
