(Fluff) Mitch gets jealous when a barista flirts with Beau
****
Mitch frowns as he watches Beau stand at the counter, talking to the barista for much longer than needed. He can clearly see that the barista is flirting with him, and Beau doesn't seem to care either.
"It was nice talking to you. Thanks so much," Beau smiles and walks away from the barista, finally.
Mitch crosses his arms against his chest, relieved but also still annoyed as Beau walks over to him with their coffees. "It's about fucking time," he snaps without meaning to.
"I'm sorry?" Beau asks, blinking a few times as he hands Mitch his coffee.
"I'd like to leave now," Mitch says as he stands up.
"What? But... I thought we were gonna hang out here for a little while?" Beau asks.
"Well, I changed my mind. So, let's go-"
"Wait-" Beau reaches over and grabs Mitch's arm before he can leave. "What happened?"
"What happened?" Mitch asks as he looks over at Beau. "I shouldn't even have to tell you!"
"Can you keep it down?" Beau hisses once he sees a few people staring at him. He grabs Mitch and then he leads the way outside. "I haven't even done anything wrong so I don't know why you're suddenly acting all pissed off at me." He looks over at Mitch. "So, talk."
"Forget about it. I just want to go home," Mitch snaps before walking over to the car and getting in.
Beau sighs and runs a finger through his hair, before also walking over to the car and getting in.
The two finally make it home. It was a silent car ride, mostly because Mitch is still angry with Beau, and Beau still has no idea what he did to make Mitch so mad.
"You're seriously not going to tell me why you're pissed off?" Beau asks as they walk into the house.
"I mean, I think it's pretty obvious," Mitch looks over at Beau, coffee in hands.
"Obviously it's not obvious," Beau sighs. "Mitch, I don't want to argue. I just wanna know what I did."
"Beau, that barista was totally flirting with you!" Mitch exclaims, throwing his arm up. "You didn't care!"
"What?" Beau laughs and shakes his head. "No she wasn't. We were just talking."
"She was batting her eyelashes and twirling her hair," Mitch retorts. "I know flirting when I see flirting."
"So, who cares if she was flirting with me? It's not like I'm ever gonna talk to her or see her again. And, besides... I'll probably forget about her by tomorrow. You wanna know why?"
Mitch crosses his arms against his chest as he looks away from Beau.
"Because-" Beau says as he walks up to Mitch and he pulls Mitch closer, wrapping an arm around him. "The only boy I want to lay my eyes on is you, Mitch." He leans down and kisses Mitch sweetly. "Trust me when I say I don't care about that girl, or anyone else. Okay?"
Mitch looks up at Beau. He feels guilty for overreacting, but he can't help himself sometimes.
"Did you really think that I would think twice about that girl?" Beau asks.
"I'm sorry, Beau. I didn't mean to get so jealous. I know you wouldn't do anything like that. It's just... sometimes I worry you're gonna find someone better than me, and leave me," Mitch whispers.
"What? Beau frowns. "That could never happen. I'd be an idiot to leave you."
"It could happen!" Mitch argues. "You could find someone else..."
"Well, it's not going to happen. I love you too much to let you go. You're mine, and I'm yours. Okay?"
"I'm sorry," Mitch mumbles as he leans against Beau and buries his face in Beau's chest. "I love you."
"I love you too," Beau smiles and gently squeezes Mitch. "You're cute when you're jealous, though."
"Jerk!" Mitch pouts and playfully hits Beau, though he can't help the smile that forms on his face.
