Mitch thought that once he and Beau were finally out of the castle and alone, they would be happy and be able to live a life together. But no, that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

It's been two months now since he and Beau ran away, causing the kingdom to panic because of this. Beau is supposed to be the future king, and now the future king is missing. Nobody had any idea where the two has gone off to. There were constant search parties out looking for the two.

Mitch sighs as he stares out the window, feeling incredibly bored and homesick.

Beau had taken Mitch to stay at one of his close friends house, Scott. Scott is really the only person that Beau trusts to keep them a secret. So far, he's been doing a great job as nobody has found them yet. Scott lives a little outside of the kingdom which is probably why nobody has found them yet.

"Why can't I just go outside of the cabin?" Mitch finally asks, breaking the silence.

"Because it's too risky," Beau replies, clearly annoyed. "Are you trying to get us caught?"

Mitch turns and looks at Beau. "Well, I'm bored!"

"And what do you want me to do about that?" Beau asks, finally looking up at Mitch.

"I wouldn't have agreed to runaway with you if I knew this is how things were going to be," Mitch snaps. "I-I thought that we were going to be happy, but now we're both miserable!"

Beau stands up from the bed. "I've kept you safe! If you go back out there, you'll be punished!"

"Do you really care about me?" Mitch asks, taking a deep breath.

"How could you even ask that?" Beau asks angrily.

Mitch turns away from Beau at the sound of his angry voice and crosses his arms against his chest, unable to stop the tears from falling out of his eyes.

Beau frowns when he sees Mitch's shoulders shaking slightly, which means he's crying. Beau hesitates before walking over to Mitch. He tries to place a hand on Mitch's arm, but Mitch turns away again. "Mitch," he begins. "Can we please talk? No more arguing. I'm tired of arguing with you."

"Maybe I should just leave then," Mitch mumbles. "We're never going to be happy like this."

Beau takes a deep breath. "I was talking to Scott last night while you were asleep," he says. "He thinks we shouldn't keep doing this either. It's not healthy for either of us. We came up with a plan."

Mitch finally looks up at Beau, curious at Beau's "plan".

"I'm going to write to my parents," Beau says. "I'm not telling them where we are, but I'm asking if we can come home without either of us getting in trouble. It's unlikely that will happen, but it's worth a shot."

"How much trouble would we get in?" Mitch asks nervously.

"My father will be very angry," Beau says. "But, if I can talk to him..."

"It's not worth it, Beau. You're supposed to be the future king. I'm just a... a nobody," Mitch mumbles.

"That's not true," Beau gently lifts Mitch's chin up with his finger. "You're someone to me."

Mitch instantly flings his arms around Beau and he hugs him tightly. "It's not fair!" He cries.

"Shh, it's okay," Beau whispers as he holds onto the smaller boy. "It's going to be okay, Mitchy. I promise. We'll get through this, and one day... we'll be happy."

True to his word, Beau writes a letter to his parents, and has Scott take it to the castle.

"I have a letter to give to The King and The Queen," Scott tells the guards. "It's regarding their son."

Scott's relieved when the guards instantly let him in, and he's instantly taken to Beau's parents. He knows that they must be worried about their son so they would probably be happy to hear any news about him.

"You have news about Beau?" Debbie asks as soon as she sees Scott.

Scott takes a deep breath, and then pulls out the letter from his pocket. "I can assure you Beau is safe," he says. "I know this because I know where he's been staying."

"And you didn't think to tell us about this before?" The King asks angrily.

"It's all here in the letter," Scott hands the letter to Debbie. "Beau wants to come home, your majesty, but he wants to come home with Mitch, without anyone getting hurt or in trouble. You can understand that?"

Debbie frowns at Scott's words, before opening the letter.

The King reads the letter after Debbie is finished, and sighs. "What do you suggest we do?"

"Your majesty, I know that you aren't pleased with Beau running off with a boy, much less a boy worker. You wanted Beau to marry a princess, which is something that Beau does not want and will never want, either. Now, I promise that I'm not trying to tell you how to run your kingdom. It's not up to me at all, but... don't you think your sons happiness is more important than traditions?"

Debbie looks up at her husband. "I want Beau to come home, Michael," she whispers.

"But, with that boy?" The King asks. "Think about what the kingdom will say!"

"I don't care about what the kingdom will say, and neither should you. You're the King, aren't you? Beau will be the future king, and you know what rules he's going to change the second he's becoming king."

The King sighs, before looking back over at Scott. "Send a carriage. I want Beau home instantly. And... the boy. Tell Beau we promise to hold off all punishments. We need to talk about this in person," he says.

Scott smiles and nods. "Right away, your majesty. Thank you," he says, before running off.

Debbie sighs in relief. "I've been so worried about him," she whispers. "I just want him home."

"I am not happy with this," the King snaps. "Our son ran away from home and all of his responsibilities. For what? A worker boy! Now, all of our traditions are being thrown out the window."

"Maybe it's time for things to change," Debbie says.

Beau couldn't be more relieved when his parents agreed to talk with him and promising that all punishments would be held off. But, he's nervous. He hasn't talked to either of his parents in two months.

Beau looks over at Mitch. "We'll just... see what happens,"

"I'll understand if we can't be together," Mitch mumbles. "There's never been a king and a king before, and your father isn't someone who takes change easily. At least, from what I've seen."

"No, you're right. He's very traditional. I-" Beau looks over when the door opens, and takes a deep breath when he sees his mom. "Mom-" He laughs when she instantly pulls him into a hug. "Hey, mom."

After the two finish hugging, Debbie looks over at Mitch, and he freezes instantly.

"And, you must be Mitchell?"

Mitch instantly bows his head, afraid to say anything. He knows he's already in enough trouble.

Debbie smiles, and reaches over to grab Mitch's hand. "No need to be scared, Mitchell. I promise you, that you are not in trouble at all. Nobody is getting punished. The King might not be happy, but he's willing to make some changes if it means Beau will be happier in the future."

Mitch gasps and looks up at Beau with wide eyes. "Do you hear that?" He asks.

Beau instantly wraps an arm around Mitch's shoulder, hugging him. "Thank you," he whispers to his mom.

Debbie chuckles. "I would do anything to make you happy, Beau. I'm just glad you're home," she says. "Safe and sound. You're not leaving like that ever again. Is that understood?"

"Yes ma'am," Beau replies, grinning. "As long as my boy is safe. That's all that matters to me."

"Now, come on. There's still a lot we need to talk about," Debbie says.

Beau groans. "Of course," he mumbles, before following his mom into the room with Mitch.
